Hey!! God knows how (because I'm rubbish on social media these days!🤣), but I've got quite a few new followers! I think you guys must have shared a few posts and told people about our wonderful community of little crafters! So thankyou for that🫶
So, I thought I ought to say hello again, and introduce myself! This is me👇, Emma! I'm just living my best hammock life in this picture!
My working life has been quite a colourful journey! I started out as a nurse up at Lincoln County, left there and did some very random jobs before settling into social services for about 13 years! I began crafting on the side and started this page showing you all my makes. My business evolved over time and about 5 years ago, the universe sent me down my current path of crafting with children! 🩷🩷
I now provide afterschool craft club across schools in the local area, as well as holiday clubs and birthday parties!
I'm married to Ian, mum to two girls and have a bonkers dog called Millie! I love to craft still, bake, walk. I love all animals and at my happiest out walking in the woods with my bird app on🤣🐦 I also love cake and wine and French martini is my favourite cocktail but nowhere bloody makes them🤣
I'm 47 and perimenopausal👎👎 I doubt myself all the time. I'm naturally very shy and amaze myself everyday that I can get up and run these clubs like I do! I even host adult craft nights! I'm like a swan though. Calm on the surface but my legs (heart') are going like the clappers underneath 🤣🤣 I'm also prone to a bit of an overshare on here too when the mood takes me!
I love working with kids this age (4-11). My favourite thing is the random chats we have at holiday club!
Sounds corny, but our children really are the future, and I truly believe we have to nuture their mental health, resilience and wellbeing as much as possible. Crafting is so good for that. It's screen free, creative and mindful, and I'm a huge advocate for that🩷🩷
I very much believe in doing what makes you happy. Which is why my work life has been so varied. My mum died about 9 years ago now, and there's nothing quite like it for shifting your perspective in life🥰
Anyway..that was a waffle! Basically, thanks for being here, I appreciate you all. Please continue to support small businesses where you can. Share posts, interact and know that you're all welcome here!
Lots of love
Emma🩷🩷
