Lincoln Makers' Market The Lincoln Makers’ Market is a group of traditional and contemporary artists and craft workers. [email protected] or T.01522 722297.

The markets are held every first Saturday of the month from February to December and at the Lincoln Makers' Market Christmas Village as part of the famous Lincoln Christmas Market. There are extra dates in May for the Bank Holiday and an extra Sunday in December. For more details please contact [email protected]

To join the markets you must contact Leah or Alison and send 4 images (small scale) of your designs, along with your name and contact details and a little bit of information about your work. The best time to do this is in the beginning of January, as the markets are very popular and the spaces go quickly, but you are welcome to get in touch any time during the year. Step back in time at The Joiners Arms, Lincoln this 1940s Weekend! 18th 19th July

Proudly celebrating as Lincoln CAMRA Pub of the Year, The Joiners Arms is once again embracing the spirit of the 1940s with a weekend full of nostalgia, entertainment and community fun.

✨ Here's what's in store:
🎶 Live 1940s music, including a performance from Rachel Bea at 4:30pm on Saturday
🍰 Our annual 1940s Bake Off – using authentic wartime recipes! Entries should be at the pub by 3pm on Saturday 18 July.
🐶 The much-loved Joiners Dog Show
🐱 Plus, a fun Virtual Cat Show
🎖️ A World War II photo display
✈️ A permanent model Lancaster bomber on the roof
🎀 Vintage decorations, bomb-blast window tape, bunting and staff dressed in true 1940s style

While you're here, enjoy award-winning cask ales, choose from over 120 gins, or cool off with a refreshing Pimm's & Lemonade.

One of the highlights of this year's 1940s Weekend will be the chance to get involved and learn traditional dances from the era.

Join the Lincolnshire Lindy Hop Clubs and DJ Dr. Swing at St Paul in the Bail for fun, friendly dance sessions throughout the weekend.

From the Foxtrot to the Gay Gordons, everyone is welcome to join in.

SATURDAY 18th SUNDAY 19th JULY IS THE LINCOLN 1940s WEEKEND ….. A truly fun filled family weekend

Enjoy an immersive lineup of period entertainment and living history with ….
VINTAGE MARKET AND FAIRGROUND, local crafts and vintage stalls with antiques and era accurate clothing and artwork. Traditional fairground featuring vintage carousel and swing boats.

LIVE MUSIC AND DANCING, learn the moves of the 40s with the Lincolnshire Lindy Hop Clubs and DJ Dr. Swing on St Paul in the Bail Saturday and Sunday. Plus live performances by May Blossom, Vintage Songbird and Johnny Victory in the grounds of Lincoln Castle.

Meticulously preserved civilian cars and military vehicles from private collectors will be on display across the Bailgate and Uphill Lincoln area.

Visitors and local businesses are encouraged to dress up 40s style to truly elevate the atmosphere of the weekend.

Hear the stirring speeches of Winston Churchill bought to life in live performances across the weekend.
This event is FREE OF CHARGE 10am to 5pm within the grounds of Lincoln Castle Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July

Lincoln Festival of History

This wonderful event is on this Bank Holiday Weekend from Saturday 4th to Monday 6th May in the Cathedral Quarter.
The Lincoln Makers’ Market will be in the Castle Car Park along with the Antiques Market. There will also be events held in all the main sites along with Knights, Vikings, Normans and Romans. More details on the schedule can be found on the visit Lincoln website.
