Hajra Kemari, bespoke Bridal Gown Designer and Expert Seamstress, lists Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen amongst her clients. Renowned for her Intricately made creations for Brides, Mother-Of-The-Bride, Bridesmaids…and Grooms, Hajra, who was trained in Paris and has previously worked as seamstress for Jane Young in Newark, uses her skill to create bespoke, made-to-measure designs for ladies

and gents, along with alterations, repairs and garment re-sizing and re-styling. Her bespoke service also encompasses soft furnishings, custom made curtains etc, all finished with an eye for detail.

✨ An Italian Love Story, Perfected at Petit Versailles ✨

Before travelling to Italy to say “I do”, our beautiful bride Sophie visited Petit Versailles for the final couture touches to her exquisite gown.

🧵 Expertly shortened and delicately sculpted to enhance her silhouette, every alteration was carried out with precision and care, ensuring the gown moved effortlessly while preserving the beauty of its intricate floral lace and dramatic train.

This breathtaking design is a celebration of romance — featuring delicate embroidered appliqués, an elegant illusion neckline, and a graceful open back. Timeless, feminine, and undeniably luxurious.

It was an absolute pleasure to welcome both our lovely bride and her wonderful mum to Petit Versailles. Their warmth, kindness, and excitement made every fitting a joy.

These photographs were taken within our own beautiful atelier at Petit Versailles. Whilst we are still adding the final decorative touches, the space is already evolving into the elegant bridal sanctuary we envisioned — a place where craftsmanship, luxury, and unforgettable bridal moments come together.

Sometimes the most meaningful details are the ones no one planned from the beginning.

After altering the bride's gown and bridesmaid dress, I was asked if I could create a bow for the flower girl's dress using the leftover fabric.

"Could you make something special from the remaining fabric?"
Of course ,the answer was OUI.

Because sometimes the smallest details become the most treasured memories.
I love the idea that a small piece of fabric can carry a story through an entire wedding day. A little connection between bride, bridesmaid and flower girl, woven together in a way that is completely unique to them.

It's these personal touches that transform a beautiful wedding into something truly unforgettable.

Emma chose a timeless and sophisticated gown, featuring a beautifully structured strapless bodice, elegant clean lines and understated luxury. Perfectly suited to the romance and breathtaking beauty of Santorini, her look was completed with a flowing veil for an effortlessly elegant finish.

At Petit Versailles, every alteration is approached with couture precision. For Emma's gown, all alterations were expertly completed in-house by Hajra Kemari, including a full silhouette refinement, meticulous contouring through the bust, waist and hips, bespoke hem adjustments, and veil tailoring to ensure flawless movement and proportion.

For this beautiful bride, we carefully reimagined her gown to perfection — delicately shortening the hem, sculpting the bodice for a flawless fit, and designing bespoke shoulder straps to elevate both elegance and support. Every detail was considered, every stitch placed with intention.
Seeing Ashleig step into her day, completely at ease and glowing with confidence, is exactly why I love what I do.
Although I’ve now left Newark, it will always remain a beautiful place close to my heart — and being part of such a meaningful moment there made this even more special.
