Iona’s Couture Alterations

Iona’s beautiful gown was carefully altered to create a truly personal fit.

✂️ Train cut and reshaped
✂️ Length shortened
🪡 Waist and hips taken in for a sculpted fit
🪡 Sleeves refined and taken in
🤍 Illusion back carefully reconstructed, with delicate lace appliqué added to the side of the illusion panels, blending seamlessly with the original design.
Every detail was handled with patience, precision and care — because beautiful bridal alterations are about so much more than simply taking a dress in.

Real Bride Consuelo 🤍

A beautiful gown is only truly beautiful when it has been perfectly fitted to the woman wearing it.
For Consuelo, this was far more than a simple alteration.
To reshape the bodice, I carefully had to remove the delicate lace floral appliqués from the areas being altered, ensuring that every flower and embellishment could later be repositioned seamlessly.
The bodice was then taken in by almost a full size, requiring the internal boning to be carefully removed and adjusted before reconstructing the structure of the gown.
Once the fitting was perfected, each lace flower had to be carefully placed and re-applied by hand, restoring the original design so beautifully that the alteration becomes almost invisible.
This is l’art du détail.
It is not a one-minute job. It takes experience, technical knowledge, patience and an understanding of bridal couture construction to know exactly how a gown can be altered without compromising its shape, structure or delicate detailing.

And that is what I love about my work — taking a beautiful gown and making it feel as though it was created especially for you.

As this beautiful wedding season comes to an end, I wanted to share a glimpse of some of the wonderful brides I have had the privilege of assisting this year.

I created our new fitting room with one dream in mind: to make every bride feel extraordinary.

Megan | A little couture magic 🤍

When Megan first came to me, she was a little unsure whether the vision she had for her gown could be achieved.

Her sister-in-law, one of my previous brides, encouraged her to come to Petit Versailles Couture — and I was very happy to help.
Megan wanted a beautifully sculpted, très ajustée silhouette, with a defined waist. We added a discreet corset inside, refined the bodice, shortened the gown and created a bespoke bustle at the back so the skirt fell beautifully and evenly all around.
It was all in the details, the fittings and those little adjustments that make such a difference.
And seeing Megan so happy in her gown was simply magnifique. 🤍

A little pause ,avec toute ma gratitude...

As another incredibly busy season comes to an end, I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all my wonderful clients, brides, and everyone who continues to support my work. 🤍

It has been an extraordinarily busy season, filled with beautiful gowns, special moments, and the most wonderful people. I am truly grateful for every appointment, every recommendation, and every bride who has entrusted me with such an important part of her journey.

Now, it is time for a little pause française — I am taking some well-deserved time away to recharge, find inspiration, and return with fresh energy and creativity. ✨

We are closed until 15th September.

Our diary for 2027 brides is now officially OPEN and appointments are already being booked. If you would like to reserve your private couture appointment, please email us and we will be delighted to arrange your visit upon our return.

Where Victorian Elegance Meets Steampunk Grandeur

Some creations are more than garments — they are a vision brought to life.
This bespoke Steampunk ensemble began with my client’s own inspiration and a beautiful piece of rich brown taffeta. From there, I created the pattern from scratch and transformed her vision into a completely unique couture creation.
Every detail was thoughtfully designed and handcrafted by me — from the beautifully structured bodice and elegant defined waist, to the intricate black lace and dramatic bustle creating that magnificent Victorian silhouette.
The combination of deep chocolate brown, black lace and Victorian-inspired detailing gives this gown an unmistakable sense of opulence, elegance and drama.

To complete the look, my client chose one of my signature Pagoda umbrellas, perfectly complementing her gown, together with a beautiful white shirt from Petit Versailles. ☂️🤍

Seeing her step out at the Steampunk Festival wearing a creation that began as an idea and became something truly extraordinary was such a proud moment for me.
Une pièce unique. Un savoir-faire artisanal. Une création avec une âme. 🇫🇷

OUR FINAL DAY — MERCI from the bottom of my heart.

And just like that, our wonderful few days come to an end… 🥂

Merci beaucoup to every single person who came through our doors. Whether you came to shop, to admire, to say hello, or simply out of curiosity — it has been truly magique to welcome you.
The beautiful compliments, the kind words and the genuine reactions to my little world have touched me more than I can say. 🤍
I created this place through my own hard work, my own hands, dedication, dignity and respect, putting my heart into every little detail. My greatest wish was to create somewhere that makes people feel special, welcomed and cherished.
And looking through these photographs, I think they say everything.
Seeing people sitting together, laughing, enjoying a cup of tea, helping each other with their beautiful costumes, feeling completely relaxed and simply at home in my space… this is what makes me happiest.
Because luxury isn't only about beautiful chandeliers, antique pieces and elegant surroundings.
True luxury is how you make people feel. 🤍
And for me, that feeling will always be at the heart of Petit Versailles.
I have had the most wonderful few days, surrounded by the most wonderful people. I felt so proud to open my doors and share what I have created — even though there is still so much more to come.
This is only the beginning… 🌹
I cannot wait to finish everything very soon and finally reveal the full vision of Petit Versailles.
