Meet Chester… 🐾❤️

Some of you may have guessed his breed from my colour palette… and yes, this one is a Boxer! 👀

Chester is still very much a work in progress, but I couldn’t resist showing you how he’s starting to come together.

I always love this stage of a portrait — when the first areas of colour start bringing the personality out of the original sketch.

I’ve started with his eyes and face, and there’s still a LOT of fur, detail and colour to build up before he’s finished. 🎨

I can’t wait to show you the finished Chester!

Thinking about having your pet turned into a portrait? 🐾🎨

One of the first things I look at when you send me a photo is whether it gives me enough detail to really capture your pet.
The perfect reference photo doesn’t have to be professionally taken — but there are a few things that can make a big difference:

👀 Clear eyes – I need to be able to see those little details that capture their expression and personality.

☀️ Good lighting – Natural, even light helps me see their true colours, markings and fur texture.

🔎 Plenty of detail – The sharper the photo, the more I can see those little features that make your pet unique.

And don’t worry if you don’t have a “perfect” photo! ❤️

If you’re thinking about having your pet drawn, send me the photos you have and I’ll happily let you know if I think they could work for a portrait.

🐾 Commissions are currently open — DM me to enquire.

Meet Prince ❤️🐾

After slowly building up the layers from a simple pencil sketch to adding all the little details, Prince is finally finished!

I absolutely loved bringing his personality to life through all those layers of colour, fur and detail.
One of my favourite parts of creating a pet portrait is seeing that moment when it finally starts to look like them. ❤️

Have you ever noticed how much personality is in a dog’s eyes? 👀🐾

This is Prince, the Boxer ❤️

When I start a portrait, I like to begin with the eyes. They’re such an important part of capturing a pet’s individual personality, so getting them right is always my first priority.
From there, I gradually build up the fur, colour and little details until the portrait starts to come to life.

I can’t wait to show you Prince when he’s finished! 🐾

🐾 HAPPY NATIONAL DOG DAY 🐾

Today is about celebrating our dogs that make our lives happier, busier, funnier, occasionally messier but infinitely more special ❤️
Life simply wouldn’t be the same without them!
Every dog has their own little personality, quirks and expressions—and that’s one of my favourite things about creating pet portraits: capturing what makes your dog uniquely yours. ✨

Give your four-legged best friend an extra cuddle today! 🐾❤️
Comment below with a picture of your dog/s, what’s their name and one thing that makes them completely unique? 👇

Been working on a very special portrait that I can’t share just yet until it’s been gifted 🤫

So in the meantime, here’s a throwback of Gizmo — a portrait I completed last year and still one of my favourites 🐾✨
