Went to Stafford model railway exhibition yesterday, first time visiting this one, a big show with a good selection of traders. Once again, plenty of bargains to be had, picked this super detailed and sound fitted Hornby Model Railways A4 Sir Nigel Gresley from Anoraks Anonymous for a fantastic price. Footplate of Kidderminster were awash with bargains too, came away with a bag full of coaches. The bargains are definitely still out there, its so advantageous to attend these shows. Lots of specialist traders too to pick up all the small items you need instead of paying three times as much postage as the item costs. Back on today so if youre looking for something to do its a great day out 👍👍

Well its taken a fair while to get there but the station buildings are now in on one side, canopy should be done next week. The main building was from LCUT creative , I wanted it slightly different to the standard kit so I rang the owner up and he couldn't of been more helpful getting the extra pieces sorted. Then due to my ability to make buildings being lower than my self control at a buffet restaurant, the always brilliant Mick Clarke sorted out the construction of said kit. Cant wait to add all the bits that bring it to life over the next few weeks, just the island platform to do afterwards 👍

Anthony (my son who is also riddled with ADHD) "dad can I help you do some work on your model railway"

Me "yes, but listen to what I ask for help with and please dont move anything around"

Literally seconds later.......

Now that the layout is mostly done, ive been looking for the smaller detailing bits, found these picnic benches and GNR benches from 3D Printing For Charity, a steal at £1 each and good quality prints. There is big selection of detailing parts so if youre also after the harder to find bits, give them a look
