Moreton Morrell Horse Trials – Important Update

It is with regret that the Moreton Morrell BE Horse Trials, due to take place on 25–26 September, will no longer run as planned.

Following the prolonged hot and dry weather, ground conditions are not currently at the standard required to provide a safe and enjoyable competition. Alongside lower-than-anticipated entries, the difficult decision has been made to cancel the event.

However, we’re pleased to be working with the team at Offchurch Bury to provide a local alternative. A one-day event will take place in the area, with a focus on BE90, BE100 and Novice, helping to provide competitors with an opportunity to compete while reducing the need for additional travel and costs.

Please keep your eye on the Fixtures list for Offchurch Bury’s entries opening.

British Eventing CEO, Rosie Williams, said: “A huge thank you to the team at Offchurch for stepping in, and to everyone at Moreton Morrell for all their efforts. Conditions are difficult, and unfortunately some venues simply cannot get the ground to the standard we require while remaining viable.”

We are just as sad as you guys are to not be at the Lincoln Championships next weekend 🥹 BUT the lovely team at BRC have said we can still do you your Lincoln plaques to complete your collections - you may not have been able to ride there ... but you DID qualify 😍
