This is important! Please book your free place to go and see this. I've already seen it but I'm going again on Wednesday. It runs for approximately 50 minutes and it is full of ridiculously important content. It is shocking but there is hope as the film points out.

Still buying frozen chips in plastic bags?
Stop!
Making your own is so easy.
1. Cut your potatoes into chip size pieces. Parboil for about 8-10 minutes depending on chip size. Drain.
2. Chuck onto a baking tray. Drizzle with oil and sprinkle on some salt and pepper.
3. Cook in a preheated oven 200°c for about 30-40 minures until golden.

It's the last week of Plastic Free July and I'm going to attempt to write a post every day for the full 7 days.
Today we had a customer buy one of our beautiful recycled glass oil bottles and we filled it with our delicious refill extra virgin olive oil. Highest quality, unrefined, cold pressed.
The oil is from Honest Toil, Messinia, Greece and we're supplied by Sesi Refill Station Oxford who take away our empty 20L containers and clean them and send them back to us full.
You don't have to buy one of our bottles you can just bring one of yours from home and fill up.

So this is how I went out into town yesterday! Seems about right for me 😆

We're kicking off Plastic Free July with a customer favourite. The refill, vegan Pick 'n' Mix.
There are now soooo many I've got to get in early tomorrow to sort out empty jars and shelf space.
New additions are Pineapple rings, fruit dolphins, gummy worms and grape skulls. We also have some old favourites back in stock.
Since opening we have sold well over a tonne to you sweetaholics!!
Grab a tub, pot, bag, jar or bucket and pop in to see us for a fill up.

Hours: Saturday 10:00-17:30

Job Description
Lincoln Eco Pantry is a zero-waste, refill shop located in the Bailgate. We are looking for a hard working, enthusiastic person who is passionate about a zero-waste lifestyle, sustainability and conserving the environment. You’re our person if you are chatty, bubbly, empathetic and caring. This is a safe space where everyone is welcome.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with previous customer service experience, but this is not essential; we just want staff who are good with people and happy to talk about our ethos.
We are looking for fresh ideas to help the business move forward and help Lincoln become a zero waste city.

You will be required to

Serve customers on the till
Help customers fill their orders
Clean consistently during the day
Restock products
Have knowledge of the products we stock and be able to offer advice
Help with our social media posts

Please be aware there will be heavy lifting involved and moving stock up and down stairs.
