This was the first local history book produced by the SoL in 2000. The cover picture is "View Over Lincoln" by Peter de Wint.
This project, covering the suburb of Wigford, uses photos, old documents, the recording of old buildings and recollections of old people to capture the fascinating history of the area.
From the Roman period to the 19th century - there's a lot more to the Wigford area than you may realise.

Like books & meeting people? Steep Hill Bookshop at Jews' Court in Lincoln is looking for volunteers to work behind the till.

This charity shop sells the largest selection of books about Lincolnshire anywhere (without going online!) & second-hand books on all subjects.

Shifts are available from 10am to 1pm & 1pm to 4pm. Full training will be given. If interested please contact [email protected]
