Well, what can I say about A S Toys? In 41 years of business as a bike shop owner, this Company has to be in my top 5 that I have had the pleasure to deal with. Professional, courteous and extremely helpful. The price charged for my replacement parts was half of that I expected, allowing me to make a decent profit on what was a complicated and time consuming repair. For the foreseeable future. I am offering a cash only discount of 10%-20% on ALL sales, this includes repairs!

Simply pay using hard cash, as opposed to a hard card or bank transfer, and save oodles of money.

With the current worries surrounding your personal data, card fraud and cyber attacks, not to mention budgeting... now is the time to consider cash again.

I opened F AND J CYCLES Cycles 40 years ago, and yes, I AM still here 🤣. There were no card readers then. There were less complications, and if I remember rightly, your cash went further, mine definitely did!

So, I think now is the time. Miss out the banks. Keep it cash and get more for your MONEY.

Has anybody in the Hungate area had a large parcel stolen? Friday 8pm-9pm approx. Cannot say for sure that this is the case. But look at this video of some thief stealing a cycle belonging to one of my customers whilst he is in town. Its a safe bet that the parcel was equally 'opportunist'. My customer is rightly upset. I would personally like to offer an £80 cash reward for the return of this cycle, absolutely no questions asked. Or a cash reward of £200 for name and address and recovery of this cycle. After stealing this cycle and grappling with his large box he cycles down the hill 2-3 minutes later, turning left and heading towards Monks Road. Did you see this 'man' or do you know him?
The cycle is a white Carrera Kraken in new condition.

BANKING CONSPIRACY?

Please share....

During the current financial crisis. Are banks such as Barclays UK struggling and withholding YOUR cash to bolster their funds?

Why else would I find that over £5,000 has disappeared from my Business account? Despite several assurances that this was a mistake, and promises that funds would be in my account by the next day,

THIS STILL HAS NOT HAPPENED!

I have received no explanation, nor an apology

After more than forty years trading as F & J Cycles, I have never experienced anything like it.
(If any readers can relate to my situation, please let me know).

I am not prepared to keep waiting on hold, to be fobbed off yet again.

Maybe Barclays UK feel justified, and they really DO resent me. I am a well known advocate for keeping cash as a form of payment, and I often boycott pubs and restaurants etc that adopt a 'Card Only' 'NO CASH ACCEPTED' policy, for all transactions.

Therefore I am trading as a CASH ONLY business until this is rectified. To compensate my customers for this inconvenience. ALL sales AND repairs will attract a 10%-20% discount for the foreseeable future.

I sincerely apologise for this inconvenience, but I am sure that you will agree. A quick nip to the cashpoint WILL save you money, and that is ALWAYS nice.

PLEASE SHARE THIS POST

I need my customers to know in advance, as the last thing they will want when collecting a repair or making a purchase is to have to head back out to the nearest cashpoint.
