Designing with a connection to nature, textured textile artworks add interest, warmth and something truly personal to a home. But I couldn’t find what I imagined in my mind for these spaces.
Inspiration quietly came along after years of photographing tiny detasils on walks, collecting little treasures and with them little memories. Samla Home sits alongside my interiors work and feels like a natural progression, an opportunity for in depth exploration of these colours, textures and patterns using only my favourite materials.
Made by hand in my home studio using the finest linens and professionally framed by skilled local framers. Each framed artwork is unglazed to enjoy the natural, rustic textures, weaves and layers of contrasting fabric weights.
Sustainable, one off textile artworks, ready to hang. The first Samla Home collection draws inspiration from the tumbled shaped of sea glass treasures along the British coast.
