Closing down announcement; long post......
I'm sure lots of you either wondered or assumed I was no longer running my business as I've obviously not posted anything for over 8 months and although I never actually stopped taking orders, I've certainly not been advertising my work through social media and have been letting sales dwindle down to make this final announcement a bit easier!
The last 2 years have seen a lot of big changes for me and my family and after a lot of careful consideration I have decided to officially close down my business and move back to creating as a hobby instead.
I have been running The Scottish Bag Co for 8 years now and am very proud of the business I built and thankful for the many loyal customers I have had over the years! So many of you have put your faith in my sewing skills and in the vast majority of cases I have been able to produce items to both my customers and my own satisfaction. I've made so many different things I never imagined would be possible; bags, purses, gin lamps, cushions, covers, holdalls, dog collars and bandanas, keyrings and even recovered the odd chair, stool and sewing box!
It's always good to finish things on a high note so it seems fitting that my last commission was to take a beautiful kilt belonging to my customers late husband and recover a stool and cushions using the fabric from it. It was a labour of love which I really enjoyed doing and she was delighted with the results😊
