We're delighted to unveil our latest bespoke locomotive – Class 47 No. 47804 in West Coast Railways livery.

Produced using the superb latest-generation Bachmann Class 47 model, this exclusive release has been professionally renumbered and finished to represent one of the most recognisable locomotives on today's rail network.

The latest batch of Accurascale Class 37s has officially been announced and they're now available to pre-order with Rainbow Railways!

This fantastic new run covers the full Class 37 story, from the early days of dieselisation with D6713 in BR Green through to modern preservation and charter operations with 37516 "Loch Laidon" in West Coast Railways maroon. Alongside these are two superb BR classics; 37088 in BR Blue and 37106 in Civil Engineers Dutch, plus the stunning 37185 complete with the famous Cornish Railways "Wizzy the Lizard" logos.

Don't forget our exclusive Accurascale model also available to pre-order, 37716 in DRS Fade livery.

If you’re travelling by train, we’ve attached a simple walking route from Sutton Coldfield station to help you find the exhibition hall. It’s only a short walk from the station and well signposted once you’re nearby.

Please note that parking may be busier than usual today, as there are several events taking place in Sutton Coldfield liesure facilities alongside the model railway exhibition. If possible, travelling by train is a great option.

DEMU Showcase is widely regarded as one of the UK’s premier exhibitions for modern image railway modelling, featuring some of the finest layouts, traders, demonstrations and displays from the diesel and electric era.

Whether you’re into BR Blue, sectorisation, privatisation or today’s railway scene, there’s plenty to see.

🚂🌈 Rainbow Railways are heading to DEMU Showcase 2026 this weekend!

We'll be making the journey down from Scotland with a great selection of new releases, pre-owned bargains, exclusive models and plenty of diesel & electric traction on the stand.

The full Rainbow team will be there on Saturday, with one of the gang missing on Sunday...

Alongside the traders, visitors can enjoy a fantastic selection of diesel and electric themed layouts covering a variety of scales and eras. The show also attracts a wide range of manufacturers, retailers, societies and specialist exhibitors, making it a great opportunity to see the latest products, chat with industry experts.

With DEMU Showcase moving to a new venue and date for 2026, we'd encourage anyone with an interest in diesel and electric modelling to come along and support the event. Shows like this depend on strong visitor numbers to make the effort worthwhile for traders, exhibitors and organisers, and it's a great opportunity to meet fellow enthusiasts, see some superb layouts and enjoy a full weekend of railway modelling.

Free parking, excellent transport links and a cracking line-up make this one well worth the visit.
