Events: Over the years we have provided themed traditional crafts at events such as the Tall Ships, the Ulster Scots Festival, A Victorian Christmas in Antrim, May Day Celebration Week in Ballyclare, Spinning Yarns Festival in Antrim, the Belfast Mela to name a few. Community Groups: We can come to your group to work alongside you on a special project or a one off visit. Our projects have included working with the R-Space Gallery's Linen Biennale programme offering schools and community groups the opportunity to learn about local linen production and design a tea-towel. We facilitated North Ardoyne Women's Group to discuss and design a cultural wall hanging represenative of their own local history. In conjunction with Artsekta, we overseen the Coalisland Knitting Groups knnited town projevt. The women were taught how to take a building, work to scale, build it and then use the template to knit it as it would have been in 1910. Health & Wellbeing: Mossley Mill was host to a morning of activities set to help participants with being mindful of body, mind and soul. We provided two craft activities linking with this theme.

If you have spare wool you no longer need, this is a great way to donate. Hats are made during the winter and given to those in need. When you are there get a cuppa in the Mossley Mill cafe and have a lovely woodland walk.

We made fireworks with the kids yesterday and now we have the official fireworks display to mark the opening of the Peace Park. If you're in the area, stop by and enjoy the fun.

On Tuesday 25 August Ballymena will be officially 400.

To mark the occasion, we will be lighting the sky with colours and light.

Join us at the Ballymena 400 Fireworks display:

It was a fabulous week for Belfast showcasing a range of music and dance. I would know the words to many of the old songs as they were sung at various parties and events in my youth. My question is, do you think there are many young people who now would know the words and be able to sing along?

This may be a tradition that's disappearing in some communities. At parties and gatherings, it's modern music that's in the background. People don't take turns to sing a song anymore. In my family, each person had their party piece which was performed when we were together.

What's your thoughts on this?
