After the events of the past few weeks…..I’m thinking of doing a web series on guitar modifications. I’m going to call it “This Is Why You Cant Have Nice Things”. Taking sandpaper to a poly finish is not relicing, Rory & Stevie Ray earned that finish. Headstock breaks are repairable by qualified professionals not your mate with gorilla glue, a clamp and some hubba bubba. Big Dave up the road isn’t a luthier and doesn’t do “professional set ups” he’s a chump with a set of Allen keys. Oh and my last one…my favourite! Don’t try and eye-line truss rod relief from the bottom end. It’s head end down. I will include sound effects such as “pew pew pew” and “hands in the air punk” whilst you do it.
