A lovely 70s Japanese “Hillfield” guitar in for a bit of TLC. The pickups had been messed with and no longer worked, but a little bit of soldering and a good clean and it’s playing and sounding great. I thought it was a matsumoku factory guitar, but this one was made by Tombo. Never heard of Hillfield guitars though.

A very nice Japanese 60s Strat in for a setup. When everyone wants jumbo frets, it’s nice to see something with vintage narrow frets! Really nice to play after a fret polish and a generally spruce up.

This Squier Jim Root tele has been in to have a Jim Root tele neck, but Mexican, installed and set up. Fits surprisingly well to the squier body, with only fairly minor adjustment to the neck angle and string alignment.

Replaced the tiny cheap volume pot with a full size one, which thankfully fits snugly in the recess in the cavity. It’s also had a fret polish and set up to get it playing really well.

It’s already had the pickups upgraded to EMGs and a new bridge, so with the new neck this guitar is an absolute banger!

This nice Les Paul studio is getting some TLC and some Monty's Guitars Montypresso on the fretboard which will give a lovely vintagey feel to it. Brings out the grain and gently darkens the wood too.

This lovely 70s reissue jazz bass is in for a spruce up. Its not really from the 70s, but this old girl has still seen some action. Pretty sure these saddles have never been off, so they deserve a proper clean.
