It’s been a while since I put out any guitar work posts, so here’s a recent job completing a full fret level crown and set up

This is a really nice Fender Acoustic, brand new off the shop floor so it needed a few tweaks as new guitars often do

It’s playing at it’s best now 👌🏼

A full repair service complete on this old road worn Fender electro acoustic

It’s received a fret level and dress, a new Graph Tech Guitar Labs black nut, a crack repair on the back of the body and full pro set up

Thanks to Andy Hodgson for bringing this in, he’s playing live all around Liverpool at the likes of Lanigans bar with this work horse and his music is great👌🏼 so go check him out🎸

Just got this very rare 1973 Ebony Gibson Ripper L-9S in beautiful condition but the previous owner initialled it very artistically using nail polish some time in the 80’s

The scratch plates on these basses were originally made of Nitrocellulose so the paint design has been absorbed when attempting to remove it

I’ve managed to sand and polish it out completely to a high gloss shine like new🤩

The Ripper although in superb condition for its age still required a good set up but now it’s ready for Rockin’ the stage with Spouky Kids - Ultimate tribute to Marilyn Manson 💀🤘🏼

Set up, fret level and repair complete on this really nice Gibson Les Paul Studio

The 1st string nylon tuning peg was cracked almost completely in half but I’ve managed to rescue it by using resin filling and polishing it up to a smooth shine to match the others pegs 👌🏼

The Frets are now all level and crowned and I gave them a high buff with the dremel using some MusicNomad Fret Frine

A great guitar to set up, like all gibsons nice and solid with a superb sound

This natural finish custom build owned by Ian Forshaw is a work of art that required a few slight adjustments by myself to get it playing it’s best.

A new bone nut has been shaped, cut and fitted in place of a plastic one to improve the tonal quality
And a full fret level and crown has been completed as there were a few too many uneven frets

Really great job Ian you’ve built a nice guitar👌🏼

This really nice fender Strat was in for surgery and a sweet set up

It’s fitted with EMG DG20 David Gilmour Active Pickups and the wiring required some adjusting as well as the Jack input

A single battery box has been tidily routed in to the back allowing easy access to battery changes

The guitar has then received a full pro set up and is playing beautifully
