Yesterday was one of those days that will stay with me for a very long time.
Watching my children experience Epic Universe together was incredibly special, but seeing Milo smile, explore and genuinely enjoy himself meant more than I can ever put into words.
As many of you know, Milo has additional SEN needs, and days out can often involve a huge amount of planning, adapting and worrying about how he’ll cope. The excitement you see on social media is only part of the story. Behind the scenes, there are challenges that many families like ours quietly navigate every single day.
That’s why I want to say a huge thank you to Universal Orlando.
From the accessibility support to the understanding and kindness shown by the team, they made such a difference to our day. Instead of feeling stressed or overwhelmed, we were able to focus on what really mattered making memories together as a family.
Accessibility isn’t about getting special treatment. It’s about removing barriers so everyone has the opportunity to experience the same joy.
Yesterday, that’s exactly what happened.
To any other families navigating SEN, autism or hidden disabilities, I see you. I know how much courage it takes to plan these trips, and I hope our experience gives you confidence that magical days really are possible.
Thank you, Universal, for helping create memories we’ll treasure forever. ❤️
