Hearts and Crafts ..is a small & friendly community group. We meet twice a week to craft & support local charities.

Lovely Monday afternoon session last week (with cake) and welcoming back a couple of people who have been on holiday.

Excellent service from Sue, Sue, Sue at the SSC on Tuesday, almost as good as the week before 😉 Always a pleasure.

Yesterday’s session was full of laughter and reminiscing and today we were in Tŷ Hafan catching up with all the lovely people there. Lunch at Llanelly House and more catching up to do! Found some gorgeous crochet handbags for sale made by one of the talented staff and had a browse around Jo Partridges beautiful glass studio.
Thank you to the lovely lady who complimented the group on the table decorations we’d made. It’s always good to have feedback but even more so when it was so complimentary. ♥️

We’ve had to get supplies of cakes and biscuits in too just to keep us going!

We had a lovely Sunday lunch at The Pitch in Felinfoel on Sunday. Absolutely delicious and such great care taken with the meals for people on special diets. Staff were lovely too so we’ll definitely go there again.

Members of the group have completed some items they’ve been working on.
There’s a lovely turtle granny square, a beautiful cardigan, and a mosaic patterned cushion cover. We’ve also got some summer flowers in the Ffwrnes theatre on what we affectionately call “the big letters”!

We would like to say a huge thank you to all those of you who attended the Tea for Tŷ Hafan at the Selwyn Samuel Centre today.
We need to thank a lot of people so grab a cuppa and have a read!

To Paul at the SSC, thanks for the venue and free tea and coffee. Sue, thanks for all your help and support and making endless cups of tea!
To Morrisons supermarket, a huge thank you for your generous donation of cakes, scones and Welsh cakes.
To Radio BGM for advertising the event.
To The Harmonic Hearts for entertaining us with your beautiful singing.
To the Town Council Mayor, Councillor Louvaine Roberts, thank you for attending and giving us your support.
Councillor Suzy Curry and Councillor John Prosser, it was lovely to see you and to have a catch up.
Vicky, Lynn and Alice it was a delight to work with you. It’s been hard work but worth it.
Last but not least to the ladies from Hearts and Crafts who made things for the stall and especially the 3 lovely ladies who helped set up the stall and the room today. We make a pretty good team.

We are delighted to tell you that £330 was raised for Tŷ Hafan. So thank you once again for your support and generosity. ♥️

Just another little reminder that Tea for Tŷ Hafan is happening on Wednesday 29th July at The Selwyn Samuel Centre.
There’s plenty of free parking (just get a ticket from a machine) a lovely venue and fantastic hosts! 😉

There will be a few stalls, entertainment, raffle, auction and an opportunity to meet some of the volunteers from the Tŷ Hafan shop in Llanelli.

Please bring cash as we aren’t able to take cards on all of the stalls. 💷💷💷💷
We look forward to seeing you to help raise money for this amazing charity.

Two lovely sessions this week full of fun and laughter and not one mention of the ‘f’ word! ( ⚽️)
In the last couple of weeks there have been a few completed items. A beautiful cotton ladies jumper, a baby blanket and a teeny tiny dinosaur named Dotty.

We are delight to share with you that we are supporting Tea for Tŷ Hafan at the Selwyn Samuel Centre on Wednesday the 29th July between 10.30 and 1.30pm. Admittance is £5 and you get free tea and coffee. There will be stalls, a raffle an auction and some entertainment. Parking is free but you will need a ticket. We look forward to seeing you there.

Quite a few missing the session today so wishing everyone who’s recovering from a cold or operation a speedy recovery and a very happy Scottish road trip to another of our ladies.
We’d like to wish a huge congratulations to Robyn who has won a further 3 medals 🥈🥈🥉♥️
Two of us were trying new patterns today, a couple of projects are nearing completion and one is finished. He is a very colourful little unicorn who just wanted to do his own thing for the camera!
Our next meeting will be on June 1st - see you then.
