I can never find the right spot to photograph my bigger pieces once I finish them. Hanging over a chipped radiator next to some dodgy plaster work is probably not the best place but it's one of the few clear spaces I have that has fairly decent natural light.

This scarf/shawl/beach cover up/decorative throw/pretty wall hanging or whatever you want it to be is so freshly off the hook that I haven't had time to block it, so just imagine it looking even more amazing.

I have lost track of the hours spent making it. It's 100% cotton, using my classic technique of blending colours using a total of 6 separate yarns to create the ball this came off. This crochet piece is one of a kind in a pattern I designed as I made.

This piece is for sale and I'm currently open to offers.

Switched to work on a little cross stitch that I dabble with every so often. Just curious how everyone describes their pieces mid project. Are you a;

Whatever you choose to call it I got to enjoy working on it at the craft corner in under the most wonderful air conditioning.

Been making some little minimalist landscapes (4x4 & 3x5).

I'm feeling generous so if you want one, just make me an offer and I'm sure I'll accept (although if you are planning on bartering with goods or services there may be some negotiations).

Three of these pieces were made using acrylic markers and the other piece is a combination of water soluble crayons and ink.

I made this for my little man

I fully intended on it being a Christmas present, but I completely underestimated how long it would take to make. So he got it for Easter instead. So many stitches, multiple sections I had to make and remake plus emergency orders of extra yarn but I got him done.

In my house Thomas the Tank engine is not just a favourite book, TV show, toy and game, he's pretty much a way of life.

I wanted to make myself something quick and easy to start the year. I had seen all the cute Sophie Scarves and thought a neckerchief would be a quick thing to do. So I dived into my yarn piles and pulled out two yarns I couldn't decide between so in my infinite wisdom (stupidity) I thought a reversible double knitted kerchief would be a great idea.
So I looked at the yarn and it needed 3mm needles. That's fine I thought, my last knitting project was on 15mm and I really go below 8mm needles but how hard could 3mms be.
Turns out it was a minor nightmare. Started that I didn't have any good quality needles that size so I started on cheap ones whilst I ordered a pair. I, wrongly, assumed that double knitting would take twice as long as a standard stockinette but because you are constantly moving the yarns from front to back the time it takes significantly increased so my quick and easy knit ended up taking over 2 weeks. I was planning on it taking a couple of days!
If you are curious about why it took so long I calculated that I used 13,280 stitches to make this piece. So in total this teeny tiny neckerchief took 2 weeks, 13,280 stitches and my sanity.
