Feeling like Toyah this morning. Second phone call of the day from someone looking to sell records:
“Hi, thanks for getting in touch, do you know roughly how many albums you’re looking to sell?”
“ no, not really, they’re in a cupboard”
“No problem, do you know roughly what type of music, bands or artists”
“No idea really”
“Ah, makes it quite tricky if I don’t know what’s there or how many there are really”
“Oh, ok, but are you interested in them?”
“Would you be able to have a Quick Look when you get the chance and maybe give me a ring back?”
Lots of huffing and puffing down the phone….
Waiting for the phone call back and the inevitable collection of Mantovani and Harry Secombe…

All re-stocked today in Llantwit Major at Bardic Books, lots of great albums and a massive selection of £6 records (3 for £15), if you’ve not been before, well worth a visit and I can highly recommend the pasties etc from next door at Church Street Bakery

At Eclectic Records we quite often hear the same comments and get asked the same questions…

“I hear vinyl’s making a come back”…

really? Still??

“Hi, do you buy records?”

No..we have a vinyl fairy that visits the store every week and replenishes the stock

But we had one yesterday that got us a bit hot under the collar as we really care when and who our records go to. Chap was hunting through the singles and had an armful already then looked across and said…”I’m looking to buy lots here, but I’m going to be after a really discount, cos I’m going to sell them on then and make some money”
