🎨 Tip Tuesday

Don’t be afraid to layer!

Some of the best mixed media pieces are built one layer at a time. Texture, colour and detail all build together to create something truly unique.

Trust the process.

A graceful flamingo emerges from layers of rich texture and vibrant florals, surrounded by soft pinks, warm coppers and earthy tones. Its elegant form is created from delicate flowers and sculptural details, blending nature with mixed media techniques. Symbolising beauty, confidence and balance, the piece invites the viewer to pause and discover the harmony hidden within its intricate textures.

🌸 Inspiration Monday

Inspiration can come from anywhere.

A flower in the garden…
An old bottle…
Rusty metal…
Tree bark…

What ordinary thing has inspired you recently?

For me, it was a stack of old karting tyres. Instead of seeing something ready for the tip, I saw the perfect planters! They’ve now been transformed into herb pots and are proudly sitting outside the studio in their new home. 🌿♻️

One of the best parts of running workshops isn’t just making art…

It’s seeing someone walk in saying, “I’m not creative,” and leave a few hours later smiling because they’ve created something they never thought possible.

That’s why I love what I do.
