Fifty years celebrating World Environment Day

Led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and held annually on 5 June since 1973, World Environment Day is the largest global platform for environmental public outreach and is celebrated by millions of people across the world. In 2023, it is hosted by Côte D'Ivoire.

In honour of the event's 50th year, here you will find a selection of books and resources for Italian readers of all ages on the theme of the environment and the protection of pur planet: from the small changes we can make in our everyday lives to the big, political issues.

Today 1st June is UN Global Day of Parents

Designated by the UN General Assembly in 2012, Global Day of Parents provides an opportunity to appreciate all parents for their "selfless commitment to children and their lifelong sacrifice towards nurturing this relationship." Emphasizing the critical role of parents in the rearing of children, the Global Day of Parents recognizes that the family has the primary responsibility for the nurturing and protection of children. For the full and harmonious development of their personality, children should grow up in a family environment and in an atmosphere of happiness, love and understanding.

Revenir à toi - Léonor De Récondo

Le dernier roman de Léonor de Récondo parle de la relation mère-fille, du passé qui entrave et des erreurs réparables.
