Thank-you David from Milton Bridge Ceramics in Stoke on Trent, for visiting our studio yesterday in Hammersmith to promote your gorgeous Studio Line range of glazes, it was a pleasure to meet the creator of such a beautiful range of studio colours at cone 6, 1220 degrees.

We have recently moved over to cone 6 in our Hammersmith studio and we have been doing extensive tests to find the perfect glazes, we are so in love with these special effect glazes that we will be stocking them in both our Barnes & Hammersmith studios!

Come and learn how to make your own set of mugs on our one week throwing course in Hammersmith 24th August 10-1pm Monday-Friday.

No experience necessary, you will be guided through the steps: Learn how to centre clay on the pottery wheel, pull up the walls evenly, turn leather-hard clay, make a foot ring on the base, add handles and glaze once bisque fired.

Starting tomorrow (2nd August) and running 2-4pm the students will spend 5 consecutive days learning a variety of skills. We will cover Handbuilding, throwing on a pottery wheel and painting with coloured slip! We will be running it from our Hammersmith studio! ✨🤩

Hand-building is a traditional way of making ceramics without using a pottery wheel. Instead, you’ll shape clay by hand using techniques such as coiling, slab building and pinching.

Our next 4 weeks course:
'Organic hand-built tableware'
Thursdays 6-9pm in Hammersmith starts August 6th.

You will be guided step by step to learn how to pinch clay, slab, coil & press clay onto organic fabrics.

Learn to create your own organic tableware to reflect the quiet strength found in nature and make a set of domestic table ware; plates, cups & bowls.
