This festive season:

GIVE THE GIFT OF VINYL DJing!

Budding DJs who identify as female, le***an, intersex, non-binary, trans and a-gender age 18+ are welcome: no experience necessary.

The 4 week course will run as a supportive, safe and shame free learning environment. It is FLINTA-centric because of inherent bias in the club industry.

It will take place over 4 weeks on Tuesday 21 & 28 January and 04 & 11 February 2025 between 6:30pm - 8:45pm at Hackney Brewery & High Hill Tap in E17. Doors & bar are open from 6pm plus there is an informal short open decks practice afterwards, from 8:45pm - 9pm, with soft drinks, craft beer & cider bar throughout.

The course is taught by East London Diggers music matriarch Auntie Maureen (Royal College of Music, Roundhouse, Camden Music Services).

LAST SOCIAL OF 2024!

Record Sale & Open Decks

Walthamstow craft beer, diverse DJ sets, crate digging, street food, all this coming Sunday 13.10.24 from 1pm - 6pm at Hackney Brewery & High Hill Tap E17 5RB.

CALLING ALL VINYL LOVERS!

This Sunday East London Diggers, the monthly record sale & USB Open Decks session, returns to Hackney Brewery & High Hill Tap for July.

Local stalwart Auntie Maureen will be trading jazz, soul, funk, dance LPs and 12".

Guest DJs include Slumba Bear (All Black Everything) and JD Finberg (The Cause) playing electronica, disco, UKG and al shades of house.

Hackney Brewery & High Hill Tap has designed a special craft beer Michelada Sunday cocktail to go with the music fun!

East London Diggers is looking for black and Asian collectors, women connoisseurs and q***r crate diggers to come sell records, merchandise, badges, t-shirts, music related collectibles, books, zines or comics (free stall hire) so if you have something cute and club/music/street culture related to sell email [email protected].

On Saturday 04.12.21 everyone is welcome to enjoy a celebratory evening of discovery along Walthamstow High Street for all the family on Small Business Saturday.

High Street ADVENTures!

Artillery is working in partnership with Waltham Forest Council to produce an evening to celebrate the diversity of businesses along Walthamstow High Street for Small Business Saturday on 4 December 4-11pm.

In 2019, the first High Street ADVENTures evening featured more than 40 events inside local businesses and along the High Street stretching from Crate at St James St to Central Parade on Hoe Street. Participating businesses reported an increase in footfall and enjoyed the opportunity for more customers to discover them.

Local businesses stayed open into the evening and hosted artists and performers both within and just outside their business premises.

THE TREES ARE SAVE!

Those beautiful ancient Lime Trees lining the path from the Town Square to Walthamstow Station are no longer all under threat from demolition as part of the forthcoming development of that area.

Let’s thank the trees, for keeping our air clean and our eco systems alive, by honouring them this coming Sunday 12.01.20. At 18:15 on the Lime Tree walks all tree huggers gather to decorate these amazing pillars of green.

Bring bio degradable, eco garlands, and hugs, for all of us!
