Hot Ideas was founded in 1994 by Roy Nicols to design and manufacture products for the homewares and gift markets, both of which he was familiar with over many years of trading in the UK and Europe.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬?

I worked for large companies when I was younger and got fed up with the politics of working in a large company. This is why I decided to become a small business owner. It allows me to manage my schedule in the way that I like and see results based on what I put in.

I started my first company aged 24. In 1994, I had the idea for the platewarmer and decided to start Hot Ideas.
