See the problem?

That blue strip is rim tape. Its only job is to cover the spoke heads inside your wheel so they don't shred your inner tube. Done right, you forget it exists.

Done like this, you get a puncture every week and never know why.

This wheel came in for a tyre swap. The customer thought they were just unlucky.

If your tyres keep going flat for no reason, bring the bike in. We'll find it.

He's lining up the Basso Venta R for its photo.

Levers straight. Hoods centred. Bar tape flush. Cables tucked. The little things nobody notices on the photo, but everybody feels on the ride.

This is the bit between the bike arriving in the workshop and the bike leaving the shop. It takes longer than people think.

About this bike. The Basso Venta R. 100% made in Italy.

Torayca T700 carbon frame. Shimano 105 12-speed mechanical. Iridescent graphics that change in the light. Clearance for 35mm tyres, so it'll handle the canal path on Sunday and a fast group ride on Tuesday.
