‘I tried to flat-track in Japan over 40 years ago but nobody knows about flat track racing so I did it on the road racing track with road racing bikes!
Even classic bike racing. Then, I went to Australia to do it then to Ascot in LA.

My first flat track racing was at Kawaguchi Speedway Track, Saitama in 1963 with Honda CR 93 road racing bike! Which means it’s like I did rally cross with a Honda NSX. But I didn’t know how to ride flat-track so my riding style is terrible!’ - Tetsu Ikuzawa on his passion for dirt bikes as a Japanese flat-track pioneer 🏁🇯🇵

‘This is at the 1968 Japan Grand Prix at Fuji Speedway. The Chevron racing livery belonged to the Taki Racing Team who copied John Surtees’ racing chevron design.

This was a crazy race, we were competing against Nissan who at the time could not make a reliable race engine, so they used a Can-Am 5L Chevrolet engine! So here I was racing in the 2.0L 910 competing in Nissan works with a huge engine.

I was leading most of the race against the 4 or 5 Nissan cars that were entered, ultimately finishing second. I would have won but I spun while I was in the lead and could not get my car started again for almost one minute.’ - Tetsu Ikuzawa 🏁🇯🇵

Years in the making, Tokyo represents the riches of Japan’s Porsche community. From preserved originals and storied race cars to creative custom builds, we’re getting set to tell the stories of the cars and the heroes behind them.

Premiering in downtown Ginza, the inaugural event takes place Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the iconic Tokyo Expressway KK Line—closed to traffic since April 5. Set alongside the historic and preserved urban highway are the bright lights and city buildings, this unique venue has never hosted an event of this kind. January 22, car entries open. February 2, GA tickets go on sale. Details at lufttokyo.com

Huge gratitude to everyone involved to celebrate my father’s cars for the event - Tetsu Ikuzawa’s Taki Racing Porsche 910 from the 1968 Japanese Grand Prix which claimed class win and finished second overall, an extraordinary result achieved against vastly more powerful Group 7 two seater machines, including the Nissan R381 and the Toyota 7 415S 🏁🇯🇵🏁🇯🇵

Testing out my spec and full-winter tyres 🔛 ready for 🎿🏔️ The Continental GT Speed is AWD V8 771 bhp and 1,000 Nm of torque, 0-60 mph in 3.1 sec, top speed of 208 mph (335 km/h) 🚀 and genuinely exceptionally comfortable as a GT should be. The kind of car built for my serious cross continent driving! 🗺️

On the interior I asked Mulliner dept to add real stone veneer to the dashboard 🪨 which works pretty well I think.
