Father’s Day is this Sunday! Get your orders in today and upgrade to 1st class postage for them to arrive in time 🕰️

I’ve been posted a lot less on Instagram after my holiday, it was such a nice break and I’ve realised I don’t need to aaalways be worrying about what to post..until I realised I definitely haven’t shouted about Father’s Day enough 😅 oopsy

Wedding season has very much begun, and I’ve got plenty of designs for any kind of nuptial 🤓. Of course I tend to focus on the non traditional nuptial designs, like a piece of toast or pile of macaroni, but I’ve got a little something for everyone! I’m about to release lots of new designs and I’d realised I was lacking in the anniversary designs, so I’ve got quite a few of those coming!

Fun fact - do you know that wedding season starts in May/June for many reasons, but one is that the medieval bathing period for people’s annual dip 🛁 tended to be in May, so they wanted to get married whilst they still smelt fresh 🌷🤓

I took a little break from posting on instagram whilst on holiday and realised I’ve not posted about Father’s Day yet! It’s on Sunday 21st June and I’ve got lots of dad joke worthy cards covering all the main food groups - baked beans, beer and steak (and plenty of other things to, but those 3 groups are probably my Dad’s favourite, and let’s be honest, I design all my Father’s Day cards with my own dad in mind!)

Fun fact, I don’t really like baked beans but they’re up there in my favourite things to draw! I really enjoy drawing the trickier foods where they’re basically all the same colour and you have to spend extra time making things look realistic rather than a bowl of mush 🤓.

I’ve also discovered that I will eat beans if they have lots of tobasco and heaps of cheese mixed in, just to make sure I can no longer taste that weirdly sweet tomato sauce 🥫

There’s no surprise that I love drawing cake, my birthday cake cards tend to be often a little rude (meant with love of course) but I really enjoyed designing these wedding and anniversary cake designs. It turns out piped icing takes AGES to draw, but I think it’s definitely worth it.

I’ve been a little quiet on here as I’ve been busy working away, packing lots of orders and also designing a whole selection of new designs that I’ll be releasing next month. Do not fear, there’s more cake designs!

Sometimes I like to sneakily hide rude words in my birthday cards but distract you with extra decadent cakes to make up for the swear word 🤓

Buying cards for friends before I designed my own, I’d always go for the rude jokey ones, as that’s the kind of humour I have. It’s taken me a few years to be brave enough because I kept being told it would risk putting people off my business (funny when I have an absolute potty mouth and swear far too much) but this card in particular is a top seller, especially in the spring/summer months! It’s also a card I gave my boyfriend for his birthday, because why not 💁‍♀️

The last year or so I’ve been concentrating on my different event cards, like moving house, weddings etc, as I realised I kept designing more and more birthday and love cards! So I introduce to you the eggcellent news on your new home design, I designed it for top drawer trade show in January, and it’s been selling well ever since! Hurrah!

I haven’t released any new designs since January, but I’ve got a selection of designs that I’ll be releasing soon, all focusing on events!

Eggcellent photo by who made a wooden egg toy look surprisingly chic 😎🍳

I realised yesterday that I’ve not drawn any new designs specifically aimed at children in literally years, so it’s now my new mission to create a new range of kid’s birthday cards! A lot of my birthday cards are suitable for any age, but I like to put a little extra fun into the kids ones!

Now I enter the planning stage aka overthinking every idea until I realise the first idea I had was by far the best, and I should have just saved myself lots of time and done it right away 🤓🤓

Spring is finally hereeeeee and my hibernation is over. Realised I even accidentally took a small hibernation from posting on here as much.

I’ve had a flurry of orders, mainly birthday cards, so I thought I’d post this birthday bonanza of a photo by the wonderful . These photos are from my first shoot with Holly 2 years ago and I’m still obsessed, and all the cards featured are still top sellers!

Fun fact, I got asked if I had any gherkin/pickle themed pun cards at a market a couple years ago and realised I didn’t have any (SHOCK HORROR), so I went home and started drawing this guy almost immediately. He’s since become a top seller and features in nearly all of my wholesale orders. So whoever you err you asked for a gherkin themed pun card, I OWE YA.

Some of my best sellers come from suggestions or requests from customers and stockists, and whenever I’m asked for something specifically, I’ll always act on it! It’s actually how a lot of my designs were created. Back when I only had a few card designs and started stocking a selection of wonderful independent delis and farm shops, I’d ask them if there were any foods they’d like to see, it was a great way to build my catalogue based on what people actually wanted!

So thank you to anyone who’s ever suggested an idea to me, my brain overthinks things a lot so it’s a massive help!
