These are wonderful words about the joy discovery in literature (new or old).
It is equally special to join other fans of a new vinyl LP by a favourite artist on the day it drops in a record shop, especially if it is playing as you walk in. We agree the person behind the counter should very knowledgeable and recommend something you don't you will love yet.
We may slightly disagree though as records shops are not quiet and tranquil, and the person behind the counter should also be wise but slightly grumpy. Wishing you well...
Turntable Records miss being being on the High Street and may return in some form one day.
Thanks for sharing this with us. Rock On Jo!!π
The magic of Bookshops small or large, havens of stories, knowledge, quiet, and tranquility. An essential part to any community. The joy and excitement of that new book, or the delight when collecting that long awaited pre-order, please can the authors just write a bit faster.
The love of diving into a different place, all consumed by the words on the page.
The wonder of browsing for that wonderful new book, maybe I'll order that new one by the famous man, you know the one, the cover is blue.
Magical places our beloved Bookshops, each with their own qualities we savour.
Much nicer to speak to a fellow book lover, they understand the beauty of each word and cover.
Lets keep them going forever and ever.
