“I think the main point of this ‘Becoming Home’ series was to create a connection between the raw beauty of the island and a portrait that remained true to its freedom, to the way the Dominican Republic exists, breathes, and moves on its own terms.

The Dominican Republic has always been seen through an outsider’s eyes. I feel like the country has rarely been given the chance to speak for itself. With this body of work, we wanted to let the people speak through themselves. To capture them as they are, without asking them to become something else for the camera.

That’s why the styling feels so natural too. We weren’t trying to take anyone out of character or place them into something unfamiliar. We simply asked them to come as they are, and complemented that with the clothes of the brand. The clothes became part of them, rather than the other way around.

What feels most special to me is how these people, living in a place so remote, were so willing and excited to become part of this. In a way, they became part of my own story; of returning, of discovering a part of myself again, while I became a small part of theirs.

There was something beautiful about that exchange: making people feel seen, making them feel special, and giving them a place within a story that, in many ways, is also their own”

My new jean creation :) named the ‘Denim 410 OVL Straight cut Jean’. We’ve been working on this one for a while but it’s been worth it. Finally achieved the perfect ”straight cut” that’s not too wide nor too slim. And don’t let me get into the wash, after countless sample rounds in our factory in Turkey, we landed on this beautiful heavy stone enzyme wash that has a worn in, sun bleached finish to it. And to further add, the “OVL” stands for the “overlap” asymmetric front detail that makes this piece so special. Releasing this piece to you guys on the 8th September as part of our Pre-Fall 26 release 🤲

BECOMING HOME; A project by Sergio Pontier and Seventh.

Sergio Pontier is a 23 year old Dominican-Spanish visual artist based in Spain. His Dominican side of the family lives on the island, a place he first began photographing in 2018, at the very beginning of his journey as a photographer. Eight years have passed since he last returned.

Seventh’s ethos is built around home, and capturing that idea from different perspectives. So Sergio and Seventh came together on something very personal to him. Shot and directed by Sergio, styled by Juanjose Mouko Nsue .

Even after eight years, the distance never erased his connection to the island. His memories of the country reach back to childhood, to the summers spent visiting family, the places he knew, and the experiences that became part of his earliest memories.

For Becoming Home, Sergio went back with a camera in hand, documenting it for the first time in years. Through family, friends, and locals, as well as the landscapes, textures, and everyday moments of the island, the project becomes a visual exploration of memory, belonging, and return. It asks what home means, where it lives, and whether it can still feel like home after years away.

Becoming Home also marks our Pre AW26 launch, the very first glimpse of the season, featuring the Denim OVL Jeans in Storm Wash.

Wearing Seventh Pre AW26 launching 8th September, Becoming Home reflects on the space between where you come from and who you become, and on the idea that home can exist not only in a place, but in the memories and experiences we carry with us.

Because sometimes, home is not simply the place you return to. It is the part of you that never really left.

As we wrap up the People of London series, Jimmy (JENG) leaves us with a final note.

‘Self-doubt is something that never fully leaves me, no matter how much experience I gain. It’s always there in the background, but I’ve come to see it as something that keeps me hungry, a reminder that the work is never truly finished.’

We want to thank every single person who has been part of the People of London series this season. We will continue to roll out the remaining campaign across all platforms, but until then, let’s keep the perseverance.
