A little Sip, Wick & Pause London update… 🤎

Our early bird tickets are officially SOLD OUT 🫣😍 which means we’re getting closer to a lovely little morning of candle making, drinks, good company and a much-needed pause from the usual.

If you’ve been thinking about joining us on 8 August, there are still tickets available just at the standard ticket price now.

Come make a candle, enjoy a drink on arrival, take home a little Seka goodie bag and, if you fancy it, stay for brunch afterwards and gift yourself a couple of hours to slow down 🕯️🥂

Behind every small business Instagram is approximately 37 tabs open, a to-do list that’s somehow getting longer, and one person (mee) misplacing the scissors that I now have 5 🤣

Anyway..

We’re heading into the next few months with some really exciting milestones; new stockists, workshops, events, a brand refresh and (hopefully) a little extra help behind the scenes.

It’s easy to only share the polished bits, but I also love showing what we’re actually building.

Every year I wonder whether I should post about Pride.

And every year I come back to the same conclusion:

The little girl who grew up thinking there was something wrong with her deserves to see the woman she became.

A woman who gets to love freely.
A woman who gets to take up space.
A woman who gets to keep discovering herself.

What a privilege that is. 🤍

Happy Pride to everyone still finding their way, everyone who has found it, and everyone somewhere in between.

Talking about everything and anything but candles 🤣

I’ve started bringing unfinished candle pieces to markets so my hands have something to do. As a bonus, if I have any anxious customers, it takes some of the pressure off having to chat straight away.

But the funny thing is, the more I do this, the more people seem to feel comfortable striking up a conversation 🤔 and I do love a good yap 😂

So whether you want to browse our products in real life or simply come and yap with me, we’ll be at the at the this Saturday from 12–5pm 💕

A small update from someone whose personality used to be “sure, that’s fine” 😭

People pleasing convinced me that being a good person meant always being available, always being agreeable and always putting everyone else first.

What I’ve learnt is that kindness and self-abandonment are not the same thing 🧠

You can be compassionate and still have boundaries.

You can be caring and still say no.

You can love people deeply without constantly sacrificing yourself.

Still learning. Still practising. Still occasionally over-explaining myself for no reason.

But we’re getting there 🤍
