You’ve met Tito. Tatay. Lolo & Kuya…

Now it’s time to meet the women behind the family. 🫶🏽

Introducing Ate. Lola. Nanay. Tita.

Four names. Four stories. Four generations of women who represent love, strength, culture and family.

In Filipino culture, these names mean more than just a title.

Ate — the older sister.
Lola — the grandmother.
Nanay — Mum.
Tita — Auntie.

They’re the women who raise us, guide us, look after us, keep us in check 😂 and somehow always know what’s best for us.

We wanted to celebrate those relationships and the women who make our families what they are, while putting a Hidden Countenance twist on something so familiar and meaningful.

ATE. LOLA. NANAY. TITA.

Because family comes in every generation. 🧡

Okay… we’ve been a little MIA. 🥹

Life got a little hectic behind the scenes, so we took a short break from Hidden Countenance. We’re sorry for disappearing on you! 🫶🏽

But we’re back and we’re coming back with something that means a little more to us. 🧡

Introducing Tito. Tatay. Lolo. Kuya.

Four names that represent family, culture, identity and the people who shape us.

In Filipino culture, these names carry more than just a title. Tatay — Dad. Lolo — Grandfather. Kuya — older brother. Tito — Uncle.

They represent the generations, relationships and personalities that make up a family from the wisdom of Lolo, to the guidance of Tatay, the big-brother energy of Kuya and the unmistakable character of Tito. 😂🧡

We wanted to take something so familiar, so personal and so deeply rooted in Filipino culture and turn it into something you can wear with pride.

One thing that was important to us was celebrating not just Tagalog words, but words and expressions from across the Philippines. From Luzon to Visayas to Mindanao, our dialects and regional expressions are part of what makes Filipino culture so rich and beautiful. 🇵🇭✨
These are just a few concepts inspired by your comments, and we’re only getting started.
