This isn’t something I would normally ask, but if you’ve ever attended one of my workshops, brought your child to a class or simply spent some time in the studio, I could really use your help.

Shortly after I shared a post explaining why I have to stand by my cancellation policy, I received a number of negative reviews, one after another, which I don’t believe reflect genuine experiences of my studio.

Reviews have a huge impact on a small business like mine, and it’s upsetting to see something we’ve worked so hard to build represented in a way that I don’t recognise.

So, if you’ve genuinely had a positive experience with us, I would be incredibly grateful if you could take a couple of minutes to leave an honest review and share your experience.

I don’t expect everyone to love everything I do, and genuine feedback will always be welcome. I’m simply asking the people who actually know my little studio to help make sure the reviews reflect the real experiences of the people who come through our doors.

If you were hoping to book onto our children’s Summer Sewing Camp but it had already sold out, we’ve got some good news.

We’ve added one extra workshop on 21st August.

From 10am–4pm, children will make either a zip pouch or a quilted laptop sleeve while learning new sewing skills in our small, beginner-friendly studio in Brixton.

We provide all the fabrics, tools and materials, so they just need to bring a packed lunch.

If you’ve been searching for children’s sewing classes in London or a creative activity for the summer holidays, we’d love to welcome them.

Hi, I’m Marcela 👋🏽

I’m the founder and creator of one of the cutest, cosiest little sewing schools in South West London.

I taught myself to sew almost 12 years ago, and I never could have imagined where that journey would take me. Sewing has given me so much over the years — confidence, creativity, patience, community and now, a little studio where I get to share everything I’ve learnt with others.

And I really do mean everything.

If you come to one of my workshops, I’ll share all the little tips, tricks and lessons I’ve picked up over the years, because I want you to leave feeling excited about sewing. I want you to experience that feeling of looking at something you’ve made with your own two hands and thinking, “I actually made that.”

Sewing is more than just a hobby. It’s a creative outlet, a practical life skill and, for so many of us, a little bit of therapy too.

Our September sewing workshop dates are now live on the website. And if there’s something you’d love to learn but can’t find, leave me a comment or send me a DM. You never know… I might just create a new workshop for you ❤️

Thinking about learning to sew but not sure where to start?

We’ve just added lots of new September workshops, whether you’re picking up a sewing machine for the very first time or ready to learn new skills.

Learn the basics in our Introduction to Sewing workshop, make your own oversized tote in our Bag Workshop, or bring your favourite clothes back to life in our Mending Workshop and learn skills you’ll use again and again.

All workshops are taught in small, friendly groups at our South West London studio, with plenty of one-to-one support. No experience needed for our beginner workshops.

September dates are now live, and they usually fill up quickly, so don’t leave it too long if there’s one you’ve had your eye on.
