📖 Happy World Book Day 📖
Reading was one of my favourite things to do when I was a kid - I was an only child so there weren’t that many ways of staying entertained 😂
I love that books make you IMAGINE - something you just don’t get with TV.
My favourites as a child were the Enid Blyton books, and then, as I got older, Harry Potter!
But one book that has recently helped me, and I know, so many others, is this one.
The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, by the amazingly talented .
Life can, and does, throw a lot of spanners in the works. Things don’t always go the way we expect, and things can get a little overwhelming.
This book was gifted to me by my lovely sister-in-law, and has brought me so much comfort in times that have been really difficult.
If you are finding things difficult, overwhelming, or just need some comfort, I definitely recommend this wonderful book.
One of my favourite quotes from it is:
“Is your glass half empty or half full, asked the mole?”
“I think I’m grateful to have a glass”, said the boy.
What are your favourite books of all time?
