Continuing on from my quest to cycle to every London LEGO store, I can now tick off the flagship store, in Leicester Square! The overall journey was fairly pleasant, starting off with a gentle 3 mile trip to my dad's, where I watered some plants and had a wee, (not at the same time, thank you!), then embarked on a tough, but almost completely straight, 15 mile cycle into town.

I went home via Kings Cross, as I'm familiar with that route, so all in all, it was a round trip of just over 30 miles, (not bad considering I haven't been cycling much last week); still not quite near the 55 mile journey from London to Brighton, which I'll be cycling to raise money for Mind, on Sunday 14th September, which is less than a month away, now!

And speaking of, I would like to once again thank everyone who has donated so far, we have now skyrocketed past the £400 mark and have now arrived at just over £500!

Continuing on from my mission to cycle to every LEGO store in London, today I cycled to my dad's house for a quick cuppa, (3 miles), then from there I cycled all the way to the LEGO store in Westfield, Shepherd's Bush, (15 miles), where I picked up the Jack-O'-Lantern Pickup Truck, (40822), (the Shepherd's Bush store being the only store in London that stocked it!), and the Alter Of The Dead, (40811), (some lovely early Halloween treats, with hopefully no tricks)!

I then decided to pop over to Marylebone, (5 miles), to see if I can catch Joyce bunking off work, but she was far too busy actually working, sadly, so I then I headed back home, (10 miles), so altogether, it was a very windy and windy 33 mile trip today, which is still less than the 55 mile cycle from London to Brighton, which I will be cycling in September, to raise money for the mental health charity, Mind;

Seeing as I really need to start putting in the miles before the London to Brighton cycle in September, (for which I will be raising money for Mind, the mental health charity; https://www.justgiving.com/page/on-yer-bike-son?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL), I've decided to set myself some LEGO-related goals... Which are, to cycle to every London LEGO store, starting off with a fairly pleasant 14 mile journey to Stratford!

I wanted to get the LEGO passport, and start collecting stamps from the LEGO stores I cycle to, but they'd ran out, so in the immortal words of Arnie, I'll be back...

And so, that's Stratford ticked off the list, with a 28 mile round trip, (about half of the London to Brighton one!), I'm now going to work out which store to cycle to next!

Dad - “Talking of advent calendars, there’s one in the room for you!”

Me - “Yeah, I bought it a few weeks ago!”

Dad - “Oh. But we got one for you… Which one did you get?”

Me - “City…”

Dad - “Bugger.”

Looks like I’m going to have double the festive fun this year!

Seeing as it’s the new year, it’s time to purchase some brand new LEGO sets! There’s been some fantastic new sets which have been released, but these are the ones which really caught my eye:

The cracking little Construction Steamroller, (60401), the thoroughly awesome Burger Truck, (60404), the really rather cool Police Speedboat And Crooks' Hideout, (60417), and the quite amazing Family Reunion Celebration, (80113)!

Thoroughly looking forward to building and displaying these sets!

Happy New Year, one and all!

So far, this year has gotten off to a cracking start; the new sets from LEGO have been released, (a few which I have already purchased, and am already really looking forward to building...), as well as this set arriving yeterday, (which was still 2023, but you know...)!

The Hidden Side series has quickly become one of my favourite series, despite it having been retired for some time now, but you can still find the odd set here and there online!

Well, seeing as tomorrow is the big day, it would seem that today is the day we open the last door in our Christmas LEGO City advent calendar! And so, behind our final door, (number 24!), is our seventh mini figure, the big man himself; Santa!

The Santa mini figure is a classic, and is always a pleasure to receive, (so much so, that this particular Santa is now the fourth one I own…)!

Now that we’ve arrived at Christmas Eve Eve, it’s time to open the next door in my Christmas LEGO City advent calendar! And behind door number 23 is the second half of Santa’s slay, erm, I mean sleigh!

I love this design, especially the smooth curves of the front and back, and the little compartment for presents!
