A recent commission for a full table of foldable 11th Edition Terrain.

I would be interested in your opinions but I can’t see a downside to having characterful Terrain that matches the dimensions for competitive play? πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

As always the links to these printed kits are in my bio.

Printed under commercial licence from Fabricator's Lair

Questions and Opinions welcome πŸ™ πŸ€“

Imperial City Commission Part 5.
My last post showed 12 completed 12” tiles - now 6 of them need terrain and 6 will be β€˜blank’ for scatter so the layout will look half as dense as these photos. A few aims are….
- not a totally ruined board
- mix of gothic and industrial
- not too β€˜Munda!!

I am currently dry fitting some options ..
- the cathedral is getting grander by the day and split across 2 tiles that can also be used separately. Awesome files from War Layer for those.
- industrial sector shaping up to be a ruined factory (across 2 tiles that can also be used separately again). These will be from Fabricator's Lair
- one of the remaining tiles will be similar to container stacks I have posted previously and will lean heavily on files from Corvus Games Terrain

Any questions please fire away πŸ™πŸ€“

Imperial City Commission Part 4.

Base tiles complete.
12 of 12”x12” boards

For Mathematics Enthusiasts that is

- 4’x3’ playing area
- 12 MDF boards
- 48 x printed tiles from War Layer - link in bio for printed versions
- 48 board edges painted by hand (I don’t like bare MDF!!)
- 432 individual panels painted

6 of these will be left as is.

Another 6 will have terrain modelled on to them - so I realise that some of the details will be covered but I have found that for consistency and efficiency this is the best approach.

Any questions please fire away.

Imperial City Commission Part 2 - only precision tools for this stage ! πŸ˜‰

12” x 12” tiles (12 of)
Managed to get some variation by printing loads of the individual fan pieces from War Layer

1) undercoat with matt black. (This stuff has great coverage, hides layer lines and is super matte!!
2) rough zenithal using PlastiKote UK rust mettalic. Actually brown rather than rust with tiny metallic flakes that add texture for the next stage…
3)patchy drybrush/overbrush using Charlotte’s Locks from Farrow & Ball (because I’m posh πŸ˜‚. Actually because this orange has such a high pigment load that when dry it almost looks like powders)

Next stage is getting some colour down on all 12 tiles - this will take a while so does anyone have any podcast recommendations??

Quickly dry brushed these for an eBay listing (you know where the link is πŸ˜‰).

I feel any terrain footprint from 11th beats the clear acrylic sheets from 10th.

I tried several different styles but these were my favourites so I acquired a commercial license.

The designer is shaso_te_quila who has some other items on their cults3d. πŸ™

I am not going to list loads of these as the time they take to print is not viable long term.

So if you fancy a set be quick - I have to make room for some foldable 11th edition terrain in the very near future…

Any questions please fire away πŸ™πŸ€“

Imperial City Commission Part 1.
I don’t normally post the pre-build stages of a project but I thought these may be of interest to someone πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈβ€¦. Or maybe not ! πŸ˜‚

- 4x3 modular board
- 6 blank tiles
- 6 with modelled buildings
- using a combination of the printed tiles I peddle on my eBay (link in bio)
- 6mm MDF
- best glue I’ve found if you have time to weigh them down
- tidy my bits box/wall before every project opens up creative options further down the line

My first 11th edition terrain commission finished (see previous post for WIP).

+++ for clarity this is adding to a previous terrain commission for 10th and is not intended for super-competitive use - just someone who wants immersive terrain on 11th edition footprints πŸ˜… +++

I took it inspiration from the recent terrain video on YouTube by

- the footprints were from ish-river on cults that I smoothed out some raised details on
- the stuff on them are from my bits box / misprint box and include parts from GW and War Layer

Any other questions please fire away πŸ€“πŸ™

Unless they are rules related questions - I am no expert!! πŸ˜‚

Part 1 of my first terrain commission for 11th edition .

These are for a long time supporter of my work πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

I bought the footprints from Ish-River on Cults3d after trying a few others.

I adjusted them and then mounted various bits from GW and of course !! πŸ™

I wanted to give some character and some with height whilst leaving plenty of space for models.

I found the 6x4 rectangles a challenge but we will see how the new rules play out πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

The other sizes not pictured were left blank.

A bit of rubble and now ready for paint.

A Necromunda tile that pairs with the container stack I entered in the category of the terrain competition.

I am not entering this tile but if you scroll right you can see it set up with the other tile and some WIP photos.

This was actually a misprint from a set by

Any questions please fire away.
