Aberfeldy Stories: Colours of Home” launches tomorrow!🎉

To coincide with London Craft Week, we are thrilled to launch the “Aberfeldy Stories: Colours of Home” installation.

The free installation showcases Aberfeldy’s rich history as a centre for textiles production, with colourful banners crafted by local artist , , , and alongside residents taking part in workshops run by and .ruzavina of Growing Connections.👏

Aberfeldy Stories: Colours of Home tours ✨

There is still time to join artist on Wednesday 10th May for a tour of her new exhibition, Aberfeldy Stories: Colours of Home. On this free tour, organised to celebrate the launch of the installation as part of London Craft Week 2023, Lely will offer insight into her process and practise, taking participants on a walk around the exterior and interior locations of her banners which are currently enlivening Aberfeldy Village in Poplar.

New exhibition! Traces: Stories of Migration is a brand-new, free exhibition exploring personal stories of migration across multiple generations, told through handcrafted textiles created by community members from Poplar and East London. Open to all from the 5th – 7th of November, 12pm to 6pm.
