Sea Thrift Design combines my obsession with printer's trays and collecting things on beaches! Sea shells, sea urchins, sea glass, sea pottery - first I had pockets full, then jars, then boxes - so eventually started to create something with them. But now I'm collecting more things so the boards are more varied, so I don't think I'll ever finish! I'm also selling rustic, hand made silver jewellery with semi precious stones and fossils - rings, pendants and bracelets. The silver is re-purposed from items that don't have a use any more - and some pieces are re-formed cutlery/silverware.

Can any font expert confirm if this is New Johnston font? Apparently that is the font used on London bus blinds. I love the big round OX.

I love this poster and I’m neither a trainspotter nor a bus spotter - but it’s just so satisfying looking with the clean font and black and white colours.

It’s from an original London bus blind, so will bring a nice vintage touch to your home. It’s been weighted with wooden poles and finished with eyelets and string, so it’s ready to hang.

Gorgeous geological map of Stafford including Newport, Eccleshall, Stone, Forton, Sambrook, High Offley.

The colours on this geological map are really striking, with a range of orange, pink, brown and blue to mark peat, alluvium, river terrace and other soil types. There is also a section showing the eras of the rocks in this area, from Triassic to Carboniferous periods.

Bus blinds make a great piece of art for your home - they’re vintage, they look fantastic, and being black and white, they go with any decor.

They’re also BIG and it’s good to play about with scale when you’re decorating your walls. Something big can really make a statement in a small space, or form the start of other art groupings in a bigger space.

I love the font on these vintage bus blinds. It is just so satisfying, somehow. Really clean and clear to read but beautiful at the same time. And I love the mix of spacing you see in this blind, with more condensed fonts for the longer place names. Generally though, I just love reusing an old object as a piece of art.

Seaweed cyanotype - handmade print presented in a heavyweight mount and backboard. Finished size around outer mount: 10 x 8 inches (20.3 x 25.4cm).

I made this from seaweed which I collected from the Scottish coast, then pressed and dried before making a cyanotype print from it.
