Yesterday we marched in support of trans rights, as always a day of beauty love and peace and a reminder that trans rights are human rights.

On 5 August, the updated EHRC Code of Practice comes into force. While it’s presented as guidance on how the Equality Act should be applied, many people are deeply concerned about the impact it could have on trans people’s everyday lives.

If you’re organising a meeting, fundraiser, discussion or community event around this. Everyday Sunshine can offer our space in the evenings to groups working to support, inform and bring people together.

Tomorrow evening we’re trying something rather lovely.

Join us at 7pm on the grass opposite Everyday Sunshine for Qi Gong with the wonderful Nik Sova, who has very kindly offered the first class completely free. We’re hoping it might become a regular Monday evening ritual beneath those beautiful trees.

Come in loose clothes and be prepared to practise barefoot.

I’ve been dipping in and out of Qi Gong for the past year and always leave feeling calmer, more grounded and more connected. It’s quite different to yoga. Rather than asking the body to stretch, Qi Gong invites it to soften, gently encouraging the fascia and connective tissues to release through slow, flowing movement.

Qi means life force or vital energy, and Gong means practice—the gentle cultivation of the energy that flows through us. Practised outdoors, beneath the trees with your feet on the earth, it feels like a beautiful way to reconnect with yourself and the natural world.

Whether you’re curious, already practise, or simply fancy ending the football with something a little more nourishing, we’d love to see you.

Our wonderful artists showing off their work in our Summer Exhibition. 🎨
For many of the artists exhibiting, this is the first time they’ve ever shown or sold their work – a huge milestone and a really big deal.
We’ve had such a lovely time bringing this exhibition together and getting to know our incredible local community of artists and makers.
