A zoomorphic Dinka headrest from Sudan.

The Dinka people are the largest ethnic group in South Sudan, making up about 40% of the country's population. They are a Nilotic agro-pastoralist group native to the Nile basin region, spanning areas like Bahr el Ghazal and the Upper Nile.

The Ethiopian Coptic Christian church has existed for over 1600 years. Coptic crosses have been produced as a symbol of their faith.

Crosses may be of the processional type with a socket at the base so they may be mounted on a staff and carried in church ceremonies or hand-held blessing crosses used by priests in benedictions.

The Pondi Chair.
The concept for this bespoke chair is inspired by George Nakashima's first piece of furniture, designed during his time in Pondicherry, India, in the 1940s

The chair back is economically designed and features a swivel mechanism that adjusts to the user's posture.

Dhokra figures from West Bengal.

Dhokra is a 4,000 year old metal casting craft using the ancient lost-wax technique, practised by tribal communities in India.

The famous bronze statute known as the "Dancing Girl of Mohenjo-daro (c. 2300-1750 BCE) was crafted using this exact method.

The name comes from the Dhokra Damar tribes, traditional metal smiths who still practice the craft today in Indian states like West Bengal, Odiham, Chattisgarh, and Jharkhand.
