Welcome Alessandro to the Racer Rosa family - for him when he collected his new made to measure bike, in Columbus Life steel, with Columbus Futura Caliper carbon fork, 12-speed Campagnolo Record groupset, Deda finishing kit, Selle Italia Saddle and hand-built wheel-set.
And after his first outing he gave us his positive feedback: the bike fits like a glove and immediately feels reactive, fast and comfortable at the same time. According to his numbers, an initial 5% performance improvement from his previous bike will shave roughly 3 hours off his personal best at the next long distance event he has lined up: the Paris-Brest-Paris (PBP) Randonneur, in the summer. But we know for a fact that it will be even better than that. Because the “made to measure” factor never stops improving… the riding position gets better and better with time. The fitness increases exponentially as a result of the higher mileage spent on a bike without fatigue, niggles or pain; cycling with only pleasure. On a (well designed) made to measure bike we keep becoming better riders with age.

And here it is, ready for collection, going to Milton Keynes. Made to measure for Alessandro in Columbus Life steel, silver fillet brazed, with Columbus Futura Caliper carbon fork. As many of you rightly guessed (it was an easy one!) it is paired with a 12-speed Campagnolo Record groupset, then finished with Deda finishing kit and Selle Italia Saddle. The beautiful hand-built wheelset is made of Campagnolo Record hubs, Mavic OpenPro rims and Pirelli P-Zero Race RS tyres.

This is going to St.Ives, Cornwall. Carbon fibre, made to measure for Mark, hand crafted in Italy. A unique, 100% customised project, fully internal cabling, designed for wireless electronic shifting, Campagnolo Super Record 13-speed disc-brake. Finished in matte lacquer, for a ‘naked’ carbon effect, with a subtle glossy lacquered branding.
Something very special for Mark, who originally came to see us over a year ago for a bike fit with bio-mechanic G.Giannecchini. Due to his very tall stature and particular body proportions, Mark benefitted by a made to measure frame. This is actually the second frame we built for him… who is a clear example of a very happy client. Thank you Mark!

Some brands have recently received some media attention for returning to produce ‘unapologetic’ performance aluminium road bike frames… and we salute that, it was about time that someone else came round to our way of thinking.
In fact, over the years we have actually never stopped manufacturing high-end, made to measure aluminium frames, hand-made in Italy.
We’ve always believed that aluminium has gone out of fashion too quickly in cycling history. It is lightweight, beautiful to look at, beautiful to ride, high performing and inexpensive… it is like riding a high end carbon bike, but with the “made to measure factor” thrown in at a fraction of the price… and ah, if it’s good quality and well designed, an aluminium frame is not in the slightest bit harsh, nor brittle.
In the last few years, our aluminium frames have received several very good reviews from the cycling press and those clients of ours who have chosen them have always been incredibly happy and proud owners.

New bike day for Davide - hand delivered to him personally in Padova, Italy. Made to measure aluminium, rimbrake mechanical Shimano groupset, hand-built wheels with Miche hubs, Sapim spokes and Ambrosio rims, Selle Italia saddle and Vittoria tyres. Just in time for Spring, to climb the hills that surround Bologna, where Davide lives - and to tackle the Alps in the summer... See you on the Giau Pass!

This is ready to go to Bologna, Italy. Made to measure aluminium, mechanical groupset, rimbrake (yes, you read it right), all external cabling by choice…. because that is exactly what our client Davide wanted. The wheels are hand-built by Arup Sen, with Miche hubs, Sapim spokes and Ambrosio rims, in 3-cross pattern front & rear. This is actually Davide’s second bike ordered from us - thank you again Davide, happy riding in the Bologna hills… and see you in the Dolomites this summer!

And as if by magic, we got this bike ready for Nathan, just in time for Christmas.
He collected it this morning, on a crisp, sunny day, ideal for the first spin. What festivities he’s going to have this year!

The purity and beauty of modern steel frames. Not only made to measure that fits like a glove and rides like a dream… the ultimate versatility of a hand-made custom build is that the client chose exactly the specs of the bike. And yes, in this case it is a rim-brake bike, because when we make our own frames by hand, there is no bike industry that can dictate what type of technology you should use. And we will carry on making rim-brakes / mechanical bikes in steel, carbon and aluminium, by hand, for all of you who still prefer them over disc brakes bikes, until there are components available on the market… And even after that, we may have to produce our own rim-brake groupsets and forks! ✊🏻
This was in Columbus Life steel, with carbon fork (Columbus Futura Caliper) and you can see from the photos the perfection of the silver fillet brazing, a masterpiece made in Italy by the great Luigi Daccordi.
The project, just in time for Christmas for our client Nathan, was finished with Campagnolo Chorus 12-speed mechanical (not fully internal routing by choice), with Zonda wheels and Deda finishing kit and Selle Italia saddle. We think it’s stunning, don’t you?

Once again, it’s been an extremely intense weekend of bike fitting sessions. This time we had people coming to see us from as far as Reading, Milton Keynes and even Toronto, Canada.
We’re always fully booked and yet, we do not operate with laser beams, no super high-tech smoke & mirrors…. Sometimes for the initial session we don’t even use a computer, only hand tools. Our service is unique and we have a 100% success rate. For the last 15 years we have run a monthly bike fit clinic, helping riders of all levels and disciplines to improve their comfort, performance, mileage and fitness. The outcome of a bike fit with us is our USP. Riders go away with a riding position designed by World Tour bike fitter Giuseppe Giannecchini and this will be the BLUEPRINT for their cycling future, on any bike, from any shop - not just the bike they currently ride, nor a bike bought from us. It is not only a design of an ideal frame geometry, it also gives a precise indication of what position to ride on it. This is not just a one off bike fit session, take your money and then bye bye; in the future, as independent fitters, we will always advise what frame geometry is good for a specific body’s morphology and will help shop for the right product and tune it to the perfect fit (yes, any bike from any shop). We build a relationship with riders and follow their progress.
