Bermondsey Distillery are looking for a new member to join our team in a varied and multi-faceted role, covering aspects of both brand development and distillery management and logistics. We are looking for someone with a passion for Gin, who would relish the opportunity to develop and further our brand in a competitive environment. Applicants must be forward-thinking, creative, adaptable and dependable. A good knowledge of the hospitality industry would be essential.

The successful applicant’s responsibilities would include driving sales of Jensen’s products through both wholesale and commercial channels, managing and holding tours of the distillery, working the daytime bar on weekends and occasional functions, developing the brand with tastings and functions/events across multiple platforms and avenues, and organizing both deliveries of the product and managing the distillery.
Brand Development;
The successful applicant will take responsibility for developing the brand with bars and retail outlets, furthering both relationships and sales. This will include product activations across multiple sites based across London, and tastings and events when necessary.
Distillery Management & Logistics;
The role would require the successful applicant to manage the day to day running of the emails and tours, managing a small team of staff for tours and the weekend bar, and responding to emails and inquiries to the business, working alongside the Owner, the Production Manager and the Accounts Manager to ensure that all queries are answered and resolved. A good understanding of booking systems would be useful.
Tours;
The role would involve the automation and streamlining of the tours booking process. The tours themselves, which you will be running alongside the Production Manager include talking to a group of up to 12 guests about the history of gin, the Jensen’s gin story, its distillation and manufacturing process, and offering a tasting of botanicals and sampling each of our gins. Full training will be provided.
Bars & Events;
The applicant will be required to occasionally work the Jensen's Bar on some weekends, and aid in the future development of the soon-to-be built bar in the distillery itself. Bartending experience would be useful in this regard.
Sales experience preferred and hospitality experience Essential.
Personal license is desirable, but not a must.
Basic PC Skills: Email, Excel, Word etc.
Ability to organize, coordinate and accomplish multiple tasks, alongside demonstrating strong problem solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team to the betterment of the business.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Organized with a high level of attention to detail.
