Early Victorian Credenza in Amboyna & Ebony c.1850

An elaborate antique cabinet in richly figured amboyna and ebony, combining architectural proportions with extensive decorative detailing. The broad rectangular top is framed by projecting rounded ends, above a façade arranged around a pair of central doors and curved glazed side sections. The doors are veneered in warm burr amboyna around large oval ebony panels, each finely inlaid with scrolling foliate decoration and bordered with delicate beading. Dark turned columns with gilt detailing divide the sections, while further gilt mounts, rosettes and geometric inlay continue across the frieze and plinth, giving the piece a highly considered, symmetrical composition.

Vintage French 3 Seater Sofa in Soft Tan Leather by Roche Bobois, with Matching Footstools, available separately.

A substantial Roche Bobois settee in warm cognac-toned leather, combining generous proportions with the clean architectural lines associated with late 20th-century French design. The broad, low profile is arranged with three loose seat cushions and three corresponding back cushions, each finished with neatly piped edges. Slim rectangular arms balance the deep seating, while the fully upholstered frame rests on a continuous chrome-plated plinth that gives the piece a lighter visual footing. The original Roche Bobois manufacturer’s label remains attached beneath the upholstery.

The long, low cabinet is defined by four flush-fronted doors, each finished with an integrated recessed finger pull that preserves the clean architectural line of the façade. Warm golden oak grain runs vertically across the doors and horizontally along the top, while the restrained rectangular case is raised on a slender open underframe with square-section legs, giving the substantial storage piece a lighter visual profile.

Each seat has a broad curved form with a low back, raised sides and an open front detail beneath the sitting surface, giving the design a light, graphic quality when viewed from the front. The underside is moulded with the maker’s attribution, confirming the Arter & Citton design for Ciacci Kreaty and Italian manufacture.

DS-152 Oval Swiss De Sede Two-Seater Tan Leather Sofa c.2000

A sculptural two-seat oval sofa by Jane Worthington for Swiss manufacturer De Sede, the DS-152 dates to the early 2000s and is defined by its generous oval form and low, enveloping profile. Upholstered throughout in hand-dyed tan leather, the segmented construction follows the curves of the seat, back and outer shell, emphasising the model’s distinctive organic geometry. The leather has developed a rich variation of amber, chestnut and russet tones, with natural creasing and patina lending further depth to the surface. Two loose leather cushions accompany the seating, while discreet chromed steel supports raise the substantial upholstered body just above floor level.

Midcentury ‘Chief’ Chair in Solid Oak & Saddle Leather by Gunnar Gudmundson for Kristjani Sigurgeirsson of Iceland

A rare Icelandic modernist lounge chair designed by Gunnar Gudmundsson in 1960 and manufactured in Reykjavík by Kristjani Siggeirsson. Known as the ‘Chief’ or ‘Höfðinginn’, the design combines a substantial solid oak frame with suspended saddle leather, giving the piece a distinctly architectural character. Broad rectangular armrests sit above robust square-section legs and rails, while the tan leather seat and back are tensioned across the timber structure rather than conventionally upholstered. Carefully stitched edges, leather loops and timber pegs form part of the construction, complemented by darker inlaid block details to the tops of the uprights and discreet brass inlay fixings.
