Back to school 🎒👟✏️

Introducing ‘Invisible Figures’, a new public art installation at London Designer Outlet, created by Henry Gibbs Henry Gibbs and Bhawana Jain Bhawana, graduates of the Fine Art programme at Central Saint Martins.

Inspired by LDO’s long-standing partnerships with Talk Club and Solace Women's Aid we challenged the artists to respond to one question: “What does someone carry that isn’t visible?”

Their answers offer two strikingly different perspectives on the emotions and experiences we can carry beneath the surface.

Henry’s work draws inspiration from Talk Club and its mission to encourage men to talk more openly about their mental health, while Bhawana’s piece reflects the work of Solace, which supports women and children affected by domestic abuse.

Together, the two large-scale artworks transform one of LDO’s busiest public spaces into an open-air gallery – a place to pause, reflect, connect and start conversations.

While you’re here, stop by the Wear Your Joy station, where little ones can celebrate how they’re feeling by collecting a sticker and adding a leaf to the Joy Tree.

Plus, make a difference with our In Their Shoes initiative. Buy a pair of shoes from participating brands (Clarks, Sketchers, M&S, Adidas, Crocs, Vans, Asics, Converse and New Balance) and add your donation sticker to the Shoeometer.
