Linda's Little Bookshop would like to wish you all a very happy World Book Day. This year marks the the 25th anniversary of celebrating.

🎉🎉To mark this I will be running my annual World Book Day competition with the prize being a book for the best costume. Usually there is one winner but this year there will be a winner for each key stage - EYFS, KS1 and KS2 with the prize being specific to that age group 🎉🎉

September is not only my actual birthday month but also my Usborne birthday month. On Saturday it will be 5 years since I took the leap and started my own children's book business and I have never looked back.

A lot has changed in my life since then and I am so grateful for my Usborne family who have helped me get through the good and also the challenging times.
Not only on a business level but also on a personal level.
Challenges I have faced in the past year would have been a lot harder if it hadn't been for the amazing friendships and support network that being a part of this community has given me.

I have been quiet here over the summer as I needed to restructure my life and regroup emotionally. I had to make sure everything was adjusting well for my daughter and that she was OK emotionally too.
Someone asked me the other day "can you do that?" Can I just put work to the side and focus on just family and wellbeing? The answer is Yes!
That's one of the things I love most about working with Usborne. That it really is a business you can bud around your life.
If I was working a typical job could I just say to my boss "sorry can't come in for a few weeks as I need to focus on my family"? No way. But when you own your own Usbkrne business that is something you can do.
Don't get me wrong, it isn't ideal and as with all businesses you get out what you put in. BUT when something happens and you need to pause for a bit the option is there.
I am so grateful for this business and to my Usborne community (you know who you are)

Also the free books for my book addicted daughter are a huge plus along with an extra income.
