As the world's most glamorous harbour fills with superyachts for the Monaco Grand Prix, we find ourselves reflecting on a question we've been asked more than once:

Can you put a grand piano on a yacht?

Not only can we - we have!

Over the years, we've been trusted to source, prepare and deliver extraordinary instruments to some of the world's most discerning private clients aboard their superyachts. Grand pianos were placed into private salons, and yes, we were the team behind the piano that John Legend performed on at an AMG Mercedes event at the .

Each placement is completely different. But each demands the same standard.

From the initial assessment of the space, to the careful logistics of getting an instrument safely aboard, to final voicing and regulation once it's in position - nothing is left to chance. It's the same meticulous care we give every piano, whether it ends up in a family home in the Cotswolds or a superyacht in the Mediterranean.

There are 25 of these in the world. But there is only 1 like this.

The Bösendorfer 214VC 'Tree of Life' is among the most extraordinary limited editions ever produced by the Viennese masters, just 25 instruments in existence, each bearing an individually numbered brass plaque and a cabinet adorned with genuine 23-carat gold leaf, applied entirely by hand. The design is drawn from Gustav Klimt's iconic 'Tree of Life' motif: a piece of art history translated into one of the world's finest acoustic instruments.

This is number one in the series. And it carries something no other instrument in the edition ever will.

Originally supplied, new, by us to the acclaimed actor Sean Bean, this piano has been in private ownership since new. Sean has now personally signed the cheek block, making this not merely the first of twenty-five, but a singular object: part concert instrument, part cultural artefact. The new owner will also receive photographs of Sean with the piano, a lasting record of its remarkable story.

Handcrafted in Tallinn and rooted in a lineage stretching back to Ernst Ihse-Hiis' 1893 designs, Estonia represents the pinnacle of Nordic craftsmanship. Each instrument is a study in precision, with only the top 5% of Austrian spruce soundboards qualifying for selection, multi-layer North European birch rims are bent using traditional rim-press techniques, and hammers are individually voiced to achieve Estonia's distinctive "singing tone." From there, we share what our carefully curated collection has to offer. You'll have the opportunity to play every brand and model that intrigues you, Steinway beside Bösendorfer, Sauter beside Yamaha, all under one roof, with no pressure to choose one over another.

Once you've found the piano that speaks to you, our technicians conduct a meticulous pre-delivery inspection: aesthetics, action, acoustics. The piano is brought to the highest standard, then voiced and tuned by one of our master technicians before it ever leaves our workshop.
