A bit late to post this as I’ve been busy prepping for upcoming events, but last weekend at Nottingham Contemporary Shop Contemporary was truly special!

It was a fantastic 3-day craft fair surrounded by amazing artists, wonderful visitors, and great energy in such a vibrant venue. Always love being here and hope to be back later ☺️

A beautiful, unexpected moment that reminded me why I create.

Today at , a lady came to my stall and took her time quietly observing my work. She then looked at me, eyes filled with warmth, and shared that my pieces made her feel truly emotional. To be honest, I was a bit lost for words and could only manage a simple ‘thank you’, but the depth of that moment has stayed with me long after she left.

She bought a pair of mini crane studs, telling me that she hadn’t taken off her current earrings in six years—but today, she was ready to change them.

In that moment, I felt the deeply human connection within my craft—how a small piece of folded paper can become a bridge between two strangers. My heart is truly full. 🤍 Thank you again 🥹

Second day at .contemporary Food & Home Fair at Nottingham Contemporary done ☺️

Had some lovely chats with some of you about origami, childhood hobbies and even Sanrio characters! A gentleman even folded paper with me together at the stall!

Such lovely moments, catching up on something and feeling connected, even though we grew up in very different cultures.

Will be there tomorrow from 11am to 4pm, do come and visit us if you are near!

Hi everyone, I’ll be at this weekend (Friday–Saturday) for the Food & Home Fair — it’s my first time there and I’m really looking forward to it!

I’ll be bringing my signature hanging cranes, along with a range of origami decorations to add a little calm and gentle, zen feeling to your home.

Would love to see you there!

Hello everyone, let me reintroduce myself: my name is Sarah. I’ve been folding origami since I was 8 years old, completely self-taught. Over time, it became something so natural to me — I can fold a crane without even looking at the paper, it’s all muscle memory. I especially love folding tiny ones, even though they’re much more challenging.

I’ve always loved paper — the colours, the textures, and the quiet feeling of working with it. I’ve probably collected far more paper than I need, but each piece feels special to me.

Thank you so much for appreciating my work — it truly gives me the motivation to keep folding ✨
