The landscape around Bertozzi’s workshop is defined by the olive trees that characterise the hills of our region. Over time, these surroundings have inspired different designs:

• The traditional multi-colour branch motif captures the look of ripening olives.
• The Leccino pattern takes a modern approach, scattering dense clusters of slender leaves across the fabric.
• The Ulivo design combines broad hand-painted strokes with precise block-printed details.

All three are among our most popular pieces - perhaps because the olive tree itself feels like a classic choice for the home.

Woven and decorated by hand, these linen tea towels bring a century of unbroken textile heritage into the modern kitchen. Each piece is printed at the Stamperia Bertozzi workshop using hand-carved pear-wood blocks and family dye recipes.

The collection includes four iconic Stampa Romagnola designs, pairing Ears of Wheat & Grapes with traditional rust, Bunches of Grapes with forest green, Pomegranates with deep red, and Thistles with classic blue.

Our upcoming tablecloth collection features the Beatrice design in two different block-printed styles.

One version shows the brocade-inspired pattern hand-stamped in deep brown onto natural linen. The other uses a resist-printing technique, revealing the motif in the colour of the base fabric against a hand-painted blue background.

During our recent visit to Stamperia Bertozzi, we found this beautiful hand-carved wood block. The lace motif is incredibly precise. When we asked Gianluigi about it, he mentioned it was made long ago but, strangely, has never been used.

Together, we started figuring out a layout for a new tablecloth. Should it be a continuous border framing the edges, or an all-over repeating print?

Earlier this month, we visited glassblowing to mark 50 years of glassblowing by Peter Layton. His retrospective exhibition brings together five decades of work, focusing on how he uses movement, heat, and colour. Definitely worth a look if you appreciate British studio glass.

Daniela Poletti of Vetrofuso bypasses the traditional glassblowing pipe, choosing instead to fuse and sculpt flat sheets of Murano glass.

Working from her studio, Daniela transforms these flat sheets of authentic Venetian glass using precise heat, gravity, and her own signature fusing methods.

From ruffled bowls reminiscent of fluid petals to organic leaf-shaped platters and sculpted jewellery, every piece captures the weightless transparency of glass paired with a sculpture’s physical presence.
