New research from our charity partner, Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT), makes for sobering reading.

Over more than 20 years of monitoring on the River Frome in Dorset, GWCT has found that on average just 3% of wild Atlantic salmon leaving our rivers are returning to spawn - and in some years that figure has dropped below 1%. Their research points to survival at sea, rather than in the river itself, as the critical bottleneck now facing the species.

As a brand rooted in the countryside and the waters we all cherish, we felt this was important to share.
