Dear not just a shop community, we want you to be part of our next window display!

We’ve commissioned talented designer and alumni, Poppy Kanu, for our next window display. Working to the theme of community, Poppy’s inviting people from the not just a shop community to write a short message, thanking someone who has helped make them feel connected, supported and valued.

These messages will be displayed in the new window display, helping us visualise the ecosystems that sustain us.

To take part, simply collect a card pack from the not just a shop reception desk and return it to us when you’ve written your message.

The deadline for returning cards is 28 May, and we’d love to hear from our whole community - staff, customers and makers!

Have you heard the news? Our shop window has been transformed by talented illustrator and alumni, Skye Baker ().

Working to the theme of community, Skye looked to both past and present makers in the Holborn area. In her research, she discovered Middle Row, a 16th-century block of buildings that stood in the middle of High Holborn and housed local craftsmen and makers of the time.

Inspired by High Holborn’s creative roots, the final display features the craftspeople of the past interacting with the artists and makers of today.

Come and see for yourself on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 11am - 3pm and check out Skye’s amazing work here .

Have you ever wanted your work sold in Tate shops? Get your creativity flowing and design a poster for our new competition!

For the eighth year, we’re partnering with Tate to provide UAL students with a chance to get their design sold in Tate stores. This year we’d like to invite you to create a poster design to be sold in the Tate’s shops (both in the galleries and online) from September 2026, and in not just a shop from October 2026.

Up to 3 winning designs will be selected and each student will receive a £250 one-off design fee, 10 copies of the poster and professional photography for their portfolio. In addition to this, if Tate decide to reprint your design, you will be offered a 6% royalty payment for each batch printed.
